"Just because I look like one, doesn't mean I like demons."
Centrifuge is one of my main Terraria PCs, and I go through periods of holding them in my hands and staring at them lovingly. They're part of a party of four alongside Rey the Ranger (Brin/PrimalGreen's), Mira the Summoner (BatwingTensei's) and Bean the Magician (Meroaw's). Fooj is the team's tank!
They have big thembo energy and will take any opportunity to show off their intense physical strength, but really they have a heart of gold even though they look like they came straight from the Underworld (although they haven't always looked like that...).
I am obsessed with Terraria. My girlfriend introduced me when we started dating six years ago and I've been crazy about it since. My gf has over 2000 hours on it now.
Notes
- Transmasc, can be drawn with a binder or top surgery, either is fine (I'd prefer is strangers drew them with their armour (or underarmour) tho. Friends do whatever you want idc).
- Their armour is a pain in the ass, I get it - if drawing it, just simplify if you need. All I ask is that you include the spikes on the pauldrons.
- They have white bones, but their keratin is red - hence why their nails and horns are that colour while their teeth are white.
- The ref is a bit outdated, but their general look and armour hasn't changed - just their weapons.
- They can be drawn with either the spider limbs coming from the back of the breastplate, or their wings (see Design tab), or with both if you so wish!

Early Life
Centrifuge has always been a big advocate for helping anyone who asks for it. From a young age they took interest in melee weapons such as swords and knuckles, working hard throughout their teen years and into adulthood to become the strongest physical fighter in the area. They eventually met a friendly magician named Bean who had impressive magical abilities, and the two teamed up to take on any threat that came their way. They may not have always known what was going, on as they seem to share about half a braincell between them, but it's surprising how far one can go powered by sheer determination and kindness.
In early life, Centrifuge had caramel-coloured skin, dark shoulder-length hair, and eyes that sparkled a rich deep orange-brown.
The Cursening(tm)
[Story] Centrifuge and Bean were enlisted on an expedition to the underworld, as the resident tax collector had supposedly been dragged to the firey depths. Ever the hero and altruist, Fooj agreed to help even though the townspeople didn't seem to care if the money manager never resurfaced (and if they were honest, they didn't care much for him either). Still, down they went.
The fight was more difficult than they anticipated, and both Fooj and Bean forgot about the tax collecter as they could only focus on simply surviving. The tank finally found the tax man, running up to him so they could all finally get out of there; however, as soon as he turned around Fooj new something was very wrong with him - bubbling red skin and a face so tortured it made them almost bring their breakfast back up. It was too late though, and Centrifuge was sent flying into the lava, Bean looking on in panic and unable to help as they were also being swarmed by demons and imps.
Luckily, Centrifuge had downed their last obsidian skin potion some minutes beforehand and had a bit of time to get out of there relatively unscathed. Unluckily though, it was always difficult to manouvre one's self after taking an obsidian skin on account of, well, the skin turning to heavy tough obsidian. Unable to see through the magma yet determined to get back to help Bean, they started climbing back up to the surface. But as soon as they reached the open air a demon grabbed them by the throat and pushed them back under. Without enough range of motion to grab their weapon, and the obsidian skin already almost out of time, the panicked tank flailed and began grabbing every potion they had stashed in their sachel, smashing the glass flasks into the demon's face. Nothing appeared to be working until all of a sudden, one flask caused the demon to jump back with an ear-splitting scream. Success!
... Except not really. As Centrifuge crawled out of the magma, their vision went black, body suddenly becoming cumbersome as wounds opened up all over their skin and fire licked at every surface. Any attempts to fill their lungs failed, and every vein felt as though there were needles trying to pass through their bloodstream. Convinced that this was the end, they collapsed and opened their mouth, but no screams of agony came, and they passed out completely.
Much to Centrifuge's surprise, they woke up in a cavern; a fire sputtering a few metres away with a sleeping magician passed out in front of it. Somehow, Bean had managed to recover Centrifuge from the ash and - miraculously - had also managed to haul Fooj's heavy ass up into the caverns above the Underworld. When Bean awoke, they explained everything, but also seemed uneasy. It wasn't until they noticed the colour of their own hands that Fooj realised something very weird had happened to their body. Their skin was grey, their eyes were red and black, there were some strangely sharp teeth sitting uncomfortably in their mouth, and my god. Are those horns?
[Explanation] Fooj had smashed a Red Potion - a potion only found in chests from certain seeded worlds, which "Inflicts the Darkness, Poisoned, Cursed, On Fire!, Weak, Confused, Slow, Silenced, Broken Armor, Bleeding, and Suffocation debuffs on the player that consumed it". Getting this on themself as well as the demon, while in hell, exacerbated it's effects and lead to a permanent curse.
Current Time
After a lengthy period of recovery and readjusting to their new body, Centrifuge began training once again and after a couple of years was back to their energetic self, ready to take on the world. They continued to defend townsfolk from the occasional zombie invasion alongside their team mate Bean, but not much else of note happened.
That was, until a new fighter appeared in town that they had never seen before - a cowgirl ranger named Rey. She was kind, strong, and determined. It didn't take long for Fooj to develop a big fat crush on her. Strangely, she seemed to have been pulled to Fooj's world from another, and although they didn't want her to leave, they began to help her work out what was going on. After a couple of months with no new leads, they all began to focus on the mission less and Rey seemed pretty happy to stay.
As if things couldn't get any weirder, one day there was a knock at the base door - Rey opened it up to an incredibly disshevelled individual carrying a staff and looking like they were about to pass out at any given second ("A summoner?"). They made up a bed for the new fighter, who explained the next morning that they, like Rey, had been somehow pulled from their home world to the Arena. Their name was Mira, and between the four fighters - Centrifuge, Bean, Rey, and Mira - they formed a tight task force to defend the world from the increasingly dangerous and disturbing forces that began rocking the land. Since Mira's appearance, there has been a significant increase in moon-related events; Mira always adopts a guilty demeanor, but Fooj isn't sure why. They suspect that the summoner is hiding something from them...

Turns Fooj into a useless gay-ass
I have a feeling that Mira thinks Fooj is a fucking idiot (and they'd be right).
Bean and Fooj are shaking hands on never knowing wtf is going on ever.
