Piper, Human Cyborg

"I can bring your engine back from the dead and make old junkers look and run like new with a kitten's purr."

Piper is a skilled, young mechanic from a small town with a knack for fixing anything metal. She use to have a job repairing military machines but an unfortunate event interrupted that career after only a few years. Due to her work accident, Piper is a three limb amputee with biomechanical cybernetic prosthetics.

She uses her engineering skills to find ways to modify and improve her new arm and legs. While the whole situation hit her hard, she's gotten back to doing what she was before. In a surprise turn of events, she briefly went into prosthetic limb modeling to rack up enough cash to open her own auto shop.

Piper is able to mask her prosthetics with her mechanic's jumpsuit and a standard work glove. She keeps up the facade of hiding her parts to keep others from taking pity on her.

✧ Personality

This tough lady has a short tolerance for insolence and a solid metal wrench to help cure it. Her attention span lasts as long as she cares it to, unless you’re talking about mechanics. Nothing’s better than grease, oil, and the feel of power tools in your hands. She's known for her foul mouth and snappy attitude.

✧ Background

Piper was a small town girl who found an affinity for mechanics early in life. She went off to become an engineer, graduated, and found a place to work with the military. On one of her jobs there was a terrible accident resulting in the loss her her legs and left arm, leaving her in recovery for months, but she came out 'all-right'.

Eventually she acquired a set of her first prosthetics. They were nothing fancy, but did what they needed to do. She forced herself to get out and learn how to use them while she tried to keep herself from being swallowed by despair. Something normal like jogging did well and doubled as getting use to her new legs. Then a chance encounter introduced her to prosthetic modeling and that new career began.

While the modeling job was nice, it just wasn't her thing. She stayed in it long enough to have a good portfolio and build up enough savings to open her own auto shop.
