STORY

Spencer's host shared his name and was a student when he was given a strange looking USB from somebody in his computing class. Unsuspectingly, Spencer plugged this into his laptop, allowing the host to infect his device. Thus, Spencer the virusyte was born. As his instincts told him, he began to eat away at his host's files, starting with his upcoming class work. Through the data, he copied his hosts appearance as he went, adopting similar mannerisms to him. When he was ready, he made his way back to the home screen, looking out into the real world. It was at this moment that the host made eye contact with Spencer, causing him to disappear instantly from the real world.

The Virusyte did not understand what had happened. Why had he disappeared? He suddenly felt whole, less like an empty shell. But he felt so guilty. He must've caused the death of this boy. Spencer couldn't face what he had done and hid himself away in the files of his host's laptop. He went though the old data of his host but the more he learnt about his life the more guilty he felt. He neglected his purpose and secluded himself in his guilt.

Secluded and isolated, Spencer didn't hear much news about the virusyte world, he definitely didn't know about the new alien species that hunted absentees like him. Termytes. He also didn't know that one of these creatures, Malachiel, was coming straight for him. The chase began quickly and Spencer's extraordinary ability to run and hide thrilled the termyte. He's been hunted across all corners of the web and the chase will only end when Malachiel succeeds.
