To understand Kotori's life, first, you'd need to know a little about his family. Although they are average for the most part, they played a significant role in his upbringing, so that automatically makes them pretty important.
Kotori's mother was a professor at one of the nation's most prestigious universities. Having always had a passion for the arts, she devoted her life to researching and teaching it. She often leaves for prolonged research trips where she would go to different nations to understand them more. During one of those business trips, she met Kotori's soon-to-be father. It was almost love at first sight, and two years later, they got married, and Kotori's mother decided to quit her job and move closer to her lover. Two years after their marriage, Kotori was born.
