Rook

Rook is the young version of John Hayes in the period where the IBOCR wasn't yet a special police force but an intelligence organization.

He has a nice face but can look intimidating at times. He is tall (188cm) and has a muscled body. He has a "black three fangs" tattoo on the left chest if drawn shirtless (the IBOCR early symbol).

He is very strong, resilient, extreme survival skills and has good memory.

He lost his father in the Second War (AU!WW2) while he was a young child and went to fight for a short time in the Unification Wars (AU!WW3) as an infantry soldier.

He quickly got noticed by the higher-ups for his physical skills and was recruited into the shadowy IBOCR organization by the mysterious "Scarf" - integrating the ghost unit of the First Army (North American States Army) as cover-up. He was easily convinced him that their role in the shadows would be necessary to preserve the peace of the world.

In the IBOCR:

When he works with a large team, he usually has the ungrateful "bait" (which could seriously have been his code name) role: attracting enemy fire, holding a certain position, or going through a path for diversion: Walter always expected him to be a sacrificial pawn... The commander will revise his thinking later on.

On other missions where he works only with his unit, his role is limited to those below:

• spy missions and information gathering --- (he still does the "information gathering" after the IBOCR transitions to special police by being in charge of questioning prisoners).
• simple assassination missions (these are either made up as "accidents" or targets made "disappeared" into thin nature).
• cleaning up of potential/undesired witnesses relative to a larger operation to erase all tracks of the IBOCR.
• train new IBOCR recruits (one or two at a time) in his arts and put them to a "graduation test mission".
