Agent Eight
Story
After a fight with Agent 3 of the Squidbeak Splatoon, Eight had fallen in with Cap'n Cuttlefish and Agent 3 into Deep Sea Metro. She had lost her memories due to sustaining injures from the the fall. In order to retrieve them, she had to complete all tests in the Kamabo Co. Stations as a test subject.
Completing the tests proved to be quite difficult for her. Because of a significant mental block, she wasn't able to complete all of them and had to have Marina's help to bypass the systems to move on. As a result, there are still details of her life she can't remember: her name and her past relationships in Octo Valley.
Personality
Eight is a polite and sociable Octoling. People have the tendency to assume she's naive because of her demeanor, but she's more cunning than people realize. There's something in the back of her mind that weighs her with guilt, but she doesn't know what the source of it is.
Sentira
Background
Sentira was born in Octo Valley and grew up in a care center with a handful of other Octarians born from the tentacles of the same ascendant (referred to as a "ring"). She performed well in school but was exceptional at athletics, so she was enrolled in weekend combat bootcamp before moving on to formal miltary training at the age of 16.
She was Tenta's first real friend when the two of them were much younger and they would bond over the idea of living in Inkopolis. Sentira had more allegiance to the Octarian military than Tenta however, and thought of escaping to Inkopolis as more of a pipe dream. She and Tenta were also friends with Marin. The three of them were a tight friend group in Highschool before Sentira moved on to military training.
Sentira's first time on the field was during Octavio's fight with Agent 3, which is where she heard Calamari Inkantation for the first time and became disillusioned with living in the Octo Valley domes.
Personality
Sentira appears to get along with everyone; she's bubbly and enthusiatic and she always seems to know what to say. But under the surface, everything is a bit of an experiment to her. She goes behind peoples backs to create scenarios just to see what unfolds, whether there's negative conflict or not. It's not so much that she does this out of maliciousness but rather she doesn't seem to be aware of why manipulation in this way is wrong.
A clear case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
