Tenta is an Octoling from OctoValley. She was born to Penti and Ameida Aino, the lead engineer and Octocanyon ambassador respectively. When she was growing up, her parents were convicted for treason by conspiring to plan a rebellion against the Octarian military and were thought to be executed. Despite this troubling event, Tenta always had ambitions and dreams to escape to the surface and live in Inkopolis.
When she turned 14, she was sent to a military training camp by the Octarian higher ups. For nearly two years, she was trained to be a soldier despite being against what the Octarian Military stood for. Her loyalty was constantly questioned due to her parents' reputation, and this came to a head after an incident involving the commander in charge of the camp.
In order for Tenta to prove her loyalty, she was assigned to take out an Agent from the NSS with a dangerous substance known as Black Ink. Otherwise, she would be eliminated instead. When face to face with the Agent she was assigned to destroy, she refused, leading to her being attacked by the camp's commander. Instead of leaving her behind, the Agent -- named Grii -- rescued Tenta for sparing her life.
Loyal . Ambitious . Stand-offish
Tenta is 5'1" with pale skin and seafoam green eyes, and she is also somewhat frail. She has a scar on her back from Black Ink that's not visible when wearing clothing. Her natural mask color is a light purple, but she wears make-up to color it black.
- Tenta's claws are retractable, but she didn't realize it when she gained a human form.
- She prefers tea over coffee, but became a part time barista to pay for things.
- She doesn't like to participate in Ink Sports due to her past military training.
- She is one of the few Octolings who was born and raised by two parents, as opposed to being born from a tentacle and raised in a care facility.
- Her appearance is considered androgynous to other Octarians due to being on puberty blockers until she began living in Inkopolis.
