Formerly known only under his alias "Ruiner", many years ago, Cassio was considered a very dangerous criminal. Known for weapon trafficking and spearheading multiple organized robberies, "Ruiner" was a scourge to be eliminated, though his identity was never traced to his actual name by law enforcement. Cassio spent a long time in a life of organized crime, feeling personally trapped within, unable to find a way out and finding a sort of resignation to his fate as a criminal.

Eventually, after heartbreak, Cassio ripped a path out of his own personal hell. Six years ago, he fled organized crime for good. But fate did not let him free of it's grasp, and he found himself in a horrific vehicular 'accident' that may have not been wholly accidental. Cassio had barely survived, with multiple limbs severely damaged and inevitably replaced by mechanical prosthetics. He fell into a spiral trying to come to terms with his own humanity and identity, though he finally pulled through. Of course, as if to spit in his face, that was when his Amoebud 'condition' came to the surface, though he's not sure himself how the infection came to be.

Nowadays, Cassio can be found keeping to himself, having quit his former job in security to keep his infection under wraps after most of his body had transformed. He does have a track record of helping newer Hosts get in contact with other Hosts, mostly to build a more concrete social network between them so that others don't feel quite as alone, and takes up odd jobs on the in-between to get by.
