A confident and seductive woman who sneers at the face of idealism. Mudan’s status as crown princess provided her with a cynical outlook on every interaction she partakes in. Aristocratic society is brimming with political intrigue; to be ignorant is a death sentence. Rather than wither in fear, she plays into their ploys. Mudan offers coy smiles, flirtatious gestures, and selfish whines: the perfect air of an airheaded princess. The second Mudan achieves her aims, she drops the ruse. Mudan’s desire to destroy double-dealing characters stem from the necessity of self-protection. To protect everyone she loves, Mudan shall pay any price to prevent the world of artifice from destroying them.

- Despite the fact that Mudan is not queen, she still partakes in miscellaneous government affairs to prepare for ascension. Mudan's official title is the Head of Housing and Urban Development, but she is permitted to voice her opinion on other subjects. Her specialties are foreign affairs and architecture.
- Mudan adores spicy foods more than anything else. While water-boiled beef is her favorite, she always searches for spicier and more flavorful dishes. Nothing disappoints her more than "spicy" dishes having no taste.
- Mudan's love of lepidopterology led to a renaissance of the royal gardens. Her insistence transformed the palace courtyard into elaborate butterfly gardens. Mudan also used her architectural skills to construct her own private butterfly house. This haven is utilized both for her studies, and personal enjoyment.
- The swarm of butterflies that flock to Mudan are due to a variety of perfumes she curated. Mudan is a talented perfumer, and in her butterfly house she installed a perfumer's organ to create and test her own fragrances. Mudan's main perfumes are floral, but she occasionally switches to citrus scents to offer the butterflies a little variety.
