Summary

Juniper is a young adult Curio, travelling the world in search of new meaning, as well as to fulfill the aspirations of her late friend. her family has been in the medic company as long as anyone can remember, and she continues that legacy to this day, becoming a toxicologist and putting her findings to good use, attempting to find cures to many ailments.

Personality

Juniper is a very patient Curio. She often has a calm demeanor, and always tries her best to listen to everyone's stories, although she has a bad habit of zoning out. She tends to get emotional over little things, which often lead to her overreacting over something she didn't know was a joke

She is very serious about her work, and easily gets overwhelmed by the tasks placed upon her, but nevertheless, she enjoys her work, and loves to help others. She gets very excited about things she likes, and tends to talk at a million miles an hour when she's interested in the topic.

She loves to hang out with her friends, but meeting new people has always been an issue. Most of her current friends she met as a young kit due to family ties.

Story

Early Life

As a young child, Juniper lived with her immediate family in Hanto Magnata, she was very content with her life. It was a relatively quiet life, apart from the bead ceremony, where her parents were busy, and she would have to leave to stay with her grandparents or some family friends for a while. She had always taken quite an interest in different plants and their medicinal qualities, and she was often told by her parents that she was destined to be a great medic. She always looked forward to the tech fair, as it was a great time to see new innovations, and she loved perusing the little trinkets.

Tech War

When disaster struck, Juniper was among the lucky few to escape Hanto Magnata unscathed, but the emotional toll was devastating. She had lived there her whole life, and was suddenly forced to give up the way of life she had known her whole life. One of her only friends went missing in the chaos of the attack, and is presumed to be dead. In the wake of the disaster, she decided to join the Clear Bells, in order to prevent as many injuries and deaths as possible.

Immediately Post Tech War

Once the dust had settled, and Yan was no longer a threat, she decided that she should take a more specific route in her medical studies. She started her apprenticeship as a toxicologist and left the clergy, as the cyborgs were no longer a threat of the same magnitude they once were. With the discovery of the mainland, she realized how potent a danger that nature could be, and devoted herself to finding cures for various toxins, as well as using them to find cures for other ailments. During her trips to Sonderrime, she learned the art of combat.

On the Mainland

Since there were species previously unknown to the Undyre on the mainland, that is where she decided to set up her research. Even though she is devoted to her work, she loves to take a break to travel. She often tries to help out whenever she can, though, as she tends to feel guilty for not working. She joined the hunters guild on the mainland due to her fondness for animals, though if you asked, she would tell you it was to research the effects of various toxins on the local wildlife. Shes a much more hands-on researcher, and would rather be catching varmints and harvesting heartroot than to be cooped up in a lab all day. This often leads to her ending up in dangerous situations.

• She has a shellfish allergy, so she usually gets food imported from the mainland.
• She always brings her journal with her on expeditions and such, in order to take note of any new observations, as well as making sure various plantlife is safe to eat.
• A lot of her research is dedicated to finding cures to various poisons and ailments.
• She tends to keep a pair of gloves on hand, in case she comes across anything that could be harmful to the touch.

• Quite good at identifying whether wild fruits and vegetables are dangerous to eat or not.
• Very good at gardening, especially when it comes to handling plants that require extreme care.
• She is a novice sewer, as she often has to modify clothing to fit her arm and leg fins properly.

Design Notes

• Her hair can be drawn in many different styles, don't be afraid to mess around.
• The sealing membrane on her left ear (right side when looking head on) was torn previously, and she can be drawn with or without the tear.
• She prefers not to wear formal clothes, often opting for more comfortable options, but she is no stranger to formal attire.
• Many of her outfits are based on things found in nature.

Remjet

[sisterly] Juniper met Jet on an expedition to Aunmarask. They bonded quickly, and Juniper became a bit more outgoing. Unbeknownst to either of them, the Hive Remjet used to call home would be attacked. After those unfortunate circumstances, Remjet went to live with Juniper, where they both embark on adventures, seizing new opportunities almost every day.
