Overview
Aras is a vampire apprentice to the Master and lives in an ice cave. He loves baking on his free time. Will occasionally stick laxatives or other odd substances in his delicious sweets and give them to unsuspecting victims. He ice skates for fun. Loves to play other pranks on other people.
Appearance Notes
He typically wears something gothic classy, but can occasionally be seen crossdressing for fun. He might also put on a cap for baking or other activities where his hair might get in the way. Besides the blue hair, he's fairly easy to pick out with the horn shaped bits of hair sticking out of the sides of his head. He still wears an archery gauntlet from the time when he was still human and it's one of the only things that's left over from his time before being a vampire.
Skills & Abilities
Marksman Proficiency
Before he was a vampire, he was fairly proficient with a bow and would hunt with a bow and a companion hawk.
Polearms Expert
After becoming a vampire, he has been training almost exclusively with polearms and spears.
Regeneration
He's undead and can regenerate almost any kind of damage that doesn't involve having his head lopped off or being under the sun.
Ice Magic
He's been learning ice magic from his master, and while he's not as proficient at it as his master, he can still create plenty of traps with it, freeze segments of water for ice skating on, and even make some ice sculptures with it. In Paperverse terms, his latent element is water, but manifests itself in the ice form.
Troll
He likes to play pranks on others. That can include lacing delicious sweets and giving them to unsuspecting victims, freezing people's warm drinks or stuffing a hall full of balloons filled with cockroaches. Sometimes it might also involve going on raids and stealing stuff from people.
Falconry
He used to have this ability from before he was a vampire, and it's kind of transferred over to his owl familiars.
Owl Familiar
He has some training with his familiar and can call or transform into a eagle owl.
Creation & Conception
I originally made Aras specifically for Paperdemon's ARPG, which was at the time, quite new, so a few details like his magical powers and latent element were not quite in line with what they are now, as they were still being developed, but it worked out in the end. He ended up being one of the oldest Paperdemon ARPG characters on that platform (he's id #2), and despite his serious look, he ended up sillier and prankier than I originally imagined him. But it's all in good fun.
