Profile

Once upon a time Charlie was a census worker. It was... ok. She enjoyed arranging the statistics it provided, making little bars and graphs when she could. But beyond that Charlie was quite the anomaly. She couldn't remember applying to the job, and quickly realized that there was something all her coworkers knew, that she wasn't told or could even begin to fathom. Unless they was doing their job or being supervised after an outburst, no one seemed to want anything to do with Charlie.

Though one month, a new hire showed up and took an instant interest in blood. Asking about how she made the graphs, her thoughts on religion, actually explaining what he meant by religion, even offering to accompany her to the bus stop and being polite even when she repeatedly declined. Eventually when her boss had to ask someone to supervise her while she went out, the hire willingly offered to do what her other coworkers had to be told to do. Though soon they would find that neither returned from the trip. The hire was confirmed dead by a old shrine while Charlie was missing.

---

Charlie was part of the effort of The Mori Council(Gods of Death in All It's Forms) to kill Odyess(Ruler of Life by Mutation).  By imbuing the Corpse of Odyess with a new soul when needed, they could keep the body from being reunited with it's other parts and keep it from decaying into nothing. What happened if a god was considered incorpeal was not yet documented, or known aside from the worst form for Efvas: speculation.

Unfortunately, the Corpse of Odyess and the Sword of Odyess have been reunited. And while blood is nowhere near thinking about reviving Odyess(kill would have to die), blood is perfectly content to slaughter people while putting bloodself at risk. She focuses a lot on the "being a corpse" part, despite it being more complicated than that.

Charlie is Charlie, whether she realizes it or not.
