Backstory
Before Birth
Daughter of Monty and Ava.
Early Life
Claire was only a toddler when the Northern compound she lived in was attacked by the UR. Her mother perished in this assault and the remaining members of their group were forced to flee to the South.
For about a year, Claire moved around with the group, never settling in one place and struggling to survive, until they were taken in by the rebel group Rage.
Later years
Claire is still fairly young, but she is eager to fight. Having spent a good chunk of her life growing up in the rebel base, she is slightly blindsided by their cause, and doesn't know the deeper, darker politics of the Rage.
She misses her mom a lot and worries about her dad, who went through an alcoholic phase following Ava's death; but for the most part, she is free to play and explore around the rebel camp as she pleases.
She was instrumental in convicing Monty to join the Ascendants, and was very eager to get to know Terra's group.

Backstory
Early life
Tawny bonded with Claire exceptionally early on and the pair have been inseparable ever since.
He remembers more of the compound and the North than Claire, who has surpressed many memories of the attack, and he misses their old home a lot. More than anything, he misses their mother, and often frets over Monty and Adela like he was their parent instead of vice versa.
Later years
Tawny is the partner to Claire's trouble-making and exploring. He is just as captivated by the rebels as Claire, and encourages her in training to be a warrior.
He was immediately fascinated by Terra's group and was incredibly excited to join the Ascendants.
