Mattedmoth

Mattedmoth was born and raised in Cragclan and was a social outcast most had no interest in knowing. Their attempts to make friends fell short as they were just as invisible as the shadows. Maybe that's how they liked to live life, maybe they wished for more, No one knew. They often questioned their leaders' choices, standing out from the others who seemed to shine brighter.

Invisible Mattedmoth no longer was as all eyes stared to them in a time of tragedy. The death of his own apprentice and blood on his claws, snarls from his own leader to pay for their crimes. Had the apprentices been slain by Mattedmoth or had he been in the wrong place at the wrong time? No one wanted to guess against their leader, so they followed him in pressing blame. Though having a warrior exiled so quickly without a chance to defend themselves raised some suspicion against the leaders motives and what truly happened, Mattedmoth was attacked and ran off.

One by one apprentices would go missing from the clan, all with a single moth wing in their wake to send a message to their leader. A clan where the young died and no one grew old would surely lead to their demise. Mattedmoth skulked in the clan's shadow for many many seasons until their leader set out on a hunt to kill the beast they once treated like their own.

After being chased and now cornered by a rocky mountain, Mattedmoth lunged for the leader and the two engaged in a fight which brough thunder and rain. As lightning struck the rocky mountain, rocks tumbled down and squished the leader and the beast- killing them both as if Starclan themselves had smited them.

Mattedmoth didn't go to where the stars shone, the punishment for his actions led him to the dark forest where he would often cross paths with unsuspecting apprentices. One of those cats being Riftpaw, who ended up looking to him as an inspiring figure and mentor as he took her under his wing. Seeing the potential in this young cat and others who he influenced, he struck a deal to finish what he couldn't when they faced their own exile within their clan.

His ears have naturally looked like moth antennae's from birth. He also has a very small overbite.

Its unknown how many apprentices he killed, altought it was enough to have a large impact.

He's was smaller than most cats but was a deadly and skilled fighter to cross.

His thick and clumped fur makes it hard to land a scratch on him- which helped as he hunted down apprentices who could hardly fight back.
