About Woofalos:

You don't have to keep these as woofalos! You can use them for wolves, any canines in general, anything!
Woofalo are, aesthetically, a mix of mostly bull and doberman with a lot of fur added on! Long torsos, deep chests, heavy necks, and huge, naturally pointed ears. Basically, a species that I can self indulge in with my favorite things to draw! The idea for their creation comes from my interest in oregon trail history- a draft canine that one could hunt with in addition to pulling heavy loads. When I originally came up with their concept, I imagined multiple breeds of woofalo for various jobs and needs- usage in hotter climates, uses for show, for companionship, for hunting, for extreme cold, etc. The only breeds I've had time to get into so far are the spanish and roman woofalo. Roman and Spanish woofalo are similar to each other aesthetically. Spanish woofalo are more exaggerated with their fur and more fine, while roman I generally draw as thicker and more heavily influenced by the structure of bulls and oxen. Most woofalo have slightly longer canine teeth than their relatives, to the point where some can stick out a bit.
Woofalo were made to be draft animals, and so all breeds should have some level of interest in that kind of work. Also, woofalo are meant to be sized similarly to bulls and oxen- so, huge and very heavy canines!
The name of the species is also a work in progress. I had a great name for them ages ago but forgot what it was. Maybe it wasn't so great if I forgot it so easily
Woofalos are a closed species for now, while I'm still developing them. I may open them up a bit more later once I figure them out further!
