Mother of four, sister of one, and daughter of the most badass woman she ever knew, Nephthys prides herself in her family above all else. Her mother's family, the Mortises, was one she loved immensely, even if they had all gone missing before she was born. She only wished to one day live up to the necromantic powers of her ancestors, and was overjoyed when she developed the correct magic type for it. Even if it brought the family pain on occasion, it meant something to her that this magic existed at all. She tried her best to pass her joy on to her children, in spite of the snide words of her first husband.

Nephthys only considered her family's magic terrible twice in her life. When her mother was hung for witchcraft, and when her brother's oldest son used his magic to burtally murder her second child. Nothing her ex-husband could say would ever sway her heart the same way these actions had. He got what was coming to him, anyways.
