Daiko looks like a relatively young woman that appears docile by nature. Doe eyes, a cute smile that’s constantly on her face, the kind of girl you’d see in any shojo. The difference is that she’s built like a fighter. Although, she wears longer clothing to appease her peers, she’s fairly tone/muscular, sporting a good number of scars on her body from training in the past. (Side note: She’s not ashamed of her body. If anything, the scars are badges of honor and she has no qualms with showing off her body.) Due to her upbringing in this fairly obscure clan, she comes off a bit strange to others. Taking words people say more literal or learning things in a way that’s not normal to others. She left her clan as she felt she could learn more from the outside world, but never let go of the traditions/teachings she grew up with.

✦ Personality
- Daiko is a relatively kind person at heart. At her core, she's curious yet determined, often striving to always better herself and not lose sight of her goals. Due to her upbringing, Daiko has a bit of trouble understanding the emotions of others and herself, often taking a bit of time to process things that occurs.
- This has gotten better during her stay on the mainland, however, she still has bouts of confusion regarding this matter. To compare, Daiko had curious qualities, but was a lot more mellowed out in her childhood. After learning more about the world and improving by her own definition, her personality manages to branch out, mainly appearing fairly cheery and energetic to those around her.
- Main things that excite Daiko: Hunting (and eating by proxy), sparring, and learning something new. To her, these things brought her true joy. When it comes to interacting with others, Daiko is fairly friendly albeit still a little clumsy when it comes to conversation. She is sympathetic and often tries to help others when she can, especially towards those who appear weaker. When it comes to relationships, she feels closer to people who she considers her comrades. It may be due to her upbringing, but fighting alongside others in the heat of battle brings about a connection that she cannot explain.
- Regardless, Daiko is still learning. With the introduction of Binas in her life, she has been making major strides. It's something about teaching and learning alongside someone that's just as clueless as her that really helps her process these things better :3

✦ Backstory
- Early Childhood
- At birth, Daiko was essentially born and bred to be a warrior. Originating from a tribe that valued the strength of one's mortal (physical) body, she was one of many whom were gifted with genetic adaptations that enabled them to survive. Not much to say here as Daiko basically grew up in the wilderness. With the aim of remaining hidden, the tribe lived a fairly isolationist lifestyle, often traveling in small groups and making camps for short periods of time.
- From the moment she could walk, Daiko was trained to hunt, scavenge, and train her body to its limits. Very much a circle that believed in "survival of the fittest". Though there was a sense of union and comrade amongst her group, Daiko was taught to be self-sufficient in varying degrees (ie. hunting on her own, dressing wounds, identifying/hiding from predators, etc.)
- Surprisingly enough, she had her birth parents to teach her these things.

- Around this time, Daiko was assigned a role within her circle. Due to her natural speed and enhanced eyesight, Daiko was appointed to a scout. In simple terms, Daiko would help out her group by acting as a lookout for dangerous predators or unfamiliar intruders.
- Of course, she had a mentor figure to keep her up to task, but Daiko generally helped out her group by finding extra food in her free time.
- Additionally, along with this new role, Daiko was given a tribal tattoo in remembrance of this. Both acting as a mark of status and indicator to other tribe members she may come across. Though not thought of/drawn yet, the tattoo is one that spirals up Daiko's leg. It mainly symbolizes her speed and quick reflexes.

- In her time on the mainland, Daiko found an occupation that was reminiscent of her childhood: on-field research. Working with an assigned group, Daiko would able to explore unknown lands and documents all the undiscovered plant-life and animals that resided there. Of course, this brought along unknown dangers. However, Daiko remained unperturbed. Not only could she learn about what was out there, she could test herself against the beasts that have remained hidden for so long. Very similar to being a scout, but more technical matters that she was ready to learn.
✦ Daiko and Binas Things
♦ When Daiko first met Binas, the young woman was on a research excursion. Her peers informed her team leader of an active threat and the group was sent to the area. As a little aside, Daiko doesn’t hide her strength and often challenges her peers to spar, but is still considered a low ranking member due to status. (Still need to think out the ranking system, but it’s mainly due to lower experience/lack of notable ties.) Still, she’s a valued member due to her proficiency in physical magic.
♦ As Daiko and her team get the word, they travel to said area where the disturbance was. There, instead of finding a mutated creature or even an evolved beast of sorts, they find a mysterious man trying to mind his own business. A man that appeared to have lived primitively his whole life. A man Daiko would recognize to have the same warrior blood that ran in her clan. This was Binas :3
♦ Her body moved before she could even make heads or tails of it, she had to get a closer look. She had moved faster than her team had ever seen, it was very uncharacteristic of her. The moment they locked eyes, it was almost like something inside them. Not quite love at first sight, but they could feel their adrenaline rise in an instant.
♦ It was almost an unspoken recognition between warriors, an inner instinct telling them that they were cut from the same cloth. Binas bared his teeth at her while Daiko looked downright giddy. Compared to her usual look, she looked completely insane, an almost blood-thirsty glint in her eyes as she finally found what she was looking for. A challenge, someone who could understand her, someone that made her feel alive in an instant… Without a second thought or even exchanging words, they were already fighting. Outside looking in, it almost looked like a fight to the death due to how deadly each blow looked and sounded. Despite that, Daiko looked like she was having the time of her life. Even if she was taking hits after hit, even if she had little chance against his superior strength, she still had a smile on her face. Her energy was almost infectious to Binas, but they kept going. Daiko’s speed and agility vs Binas’ raw strength and resilience…it was a long fight.
♦ Overall, it comes out to a standstill due to various circumstances (ie. Daiko’s team members attempting to intervene and failing miserably). The end result is Binas retreating back into the wilderness while Daiko and her team are taken back to treat their injuries.
The moment Daiko wakes up from exhaustion, however, she is immediately out trying to figure out a way to track down Binas again. Not caring about her team’s mission to potentially capture him at some point in the future, she just wants to talk with him this time.

✦ Trivia
- Due to growing up in a hunting/gathering environment, Daiko often just remains low to the ground. Whether it is crouching or adopting a stance in order to pounce. While hunting or fighting, she is more adept at running on all fours, gaining a greater speed than she could standing upright. Even out of action, she can be caught perching like a monkey out of habit.
- This behavior even extends after she has kids. Future things, but Daiko would regularly crouch/use her body to shield her babies if she perceived any danger nearby.
- As seen by her altered humanoid structure, Daiko was born with adaptations that would aid in boosting her speed.
- Another said adaptation Daiko possesses is enhanced eyesight.
- Based on a headcanon suggestion, it’s just a thing where Daiko just hides food in random locations in the forest/places she frequents. Thought it was funny and went crazy with it. Since she’s a scout, thought it make since it also probably involves foraging. That and she knows a bit about food preservation. As a result, she just has various locations scattered around where she digs a deep enough hole, wraps preserved foods in a cloth, and saves it for later.
- Because of this, Daiko has a good sense of direction, albeit in a strange manner. Because of all the food she stores, she just has a roadmap in her brain that help her mark those important locations. It’s hard for her explain it. Plus, when she draws it out, it looks like scribbles. At least she a good memory.
- Daiko is fairly expressive, especially when put next to Binas. Really loves to get her point across with hand signals/gestures alone.
- Originally started off as a Dragon Ball OC. Still has a bit of those roots, but drastically different than her AU counterpart.
✦ Relationships

- Though they initial met throwing hands and starting off as friends, Daiko and Binas grew to have deep bond after ~2 years of knowing each other. Not quite love at first sight nor pining in secret on either side, but the two (mainly Daiko) were just curious on the concept of love.
- Getting to know Binas, Daiko's thoughts of him were purely positive. Seeing how his strength greatly eclipsed hers, she eagerly wanted to be trained by him, much to the larger man's initial confusion. It was slow at first, but the two started to get to know each other bit by bit, in spite of the language barrier between them. In exchange for training her, Daiko took on the task to teach Binas everything she knew. From her tribe's history to the customs and language of the mainland, Daiko made it point to teach him whatever she knew. Not only that, Daiko often hunted/gathered food for Binas and later helps him construct his own hut in order to help him live more comfortably.
- All this to say, Daiko's gratitude came from a place of deep respect and trust towards Binas.
- Progressing into a more romantic sense, Daiko was happy to share all of her firsts with the person she trusted most. Nothing much changes about their relationship outside of Daiko being more touchy-feely.
