Aruna

As an eldritch god, Aruna exists within all time, yet unlike some others, she is bound to the sun and has therefore existed in the human realm for much longer than other deities. She gains her power from prayers, followers and sacrifices. To gain more power, she picked the Morningstar family to aid her. The first Morningstar was approached by the god, who commanded him to pray and sacrfice to her for good harvests, of which he did. He enlisted others to pray and passed down the favouritism to the next Morningstar and then the next for centuries. Aruna now has a cult dedicated to her, acting in a symbiotic relationship. In return for more power, she spent a small fraction of it on the cult, ensuring they were fortunate.

It was not long ago on the timeline of the universe that the God of Obsession was suddenly granted a human form. As the star that overlooks this realm, Aruna was the first to know, swooping down from her star to greet the new face. She taught him about the human realm, its workings, how to gain power, everything he could ever need to know, mentoring him. When he swiftly became more powerful than her, she gained cautious of the god, yet still retained a polite demeanour to him.

Watching Laszlo with a keen eye, she watched as he tainted his victims with desires new to them and gain power from it. However, she did not expect him to attack her power. When Laszlo targeted Calista Morningstar, heir to the Morningstars, Aruna felt betrayed. After everything she had taught him he attacked the line of succession keeping her power strong. She is trying to encourage Heinrich Morningstar to have another heir before it is too late, although her chances are looking good. She wishes she could fight back against the God of Obsession but knows she cannot. She fears that she may need to find a new family to favour.

• She can see through the sun-shaped eye she has. It does not restrict her
• The more angry she gets, the hotter and brighter the sun icon, as well as her markings get.
• Much like other gods, her body is covered in sun-themed yellow markings that spread throughout her body, much like the one on her neck.
• She can change form at will and usually does so to walk among the living. She often adops a more regal form to adress the Morningstars as well.

• She occasionally travels village to village and helps them with their harvest. Partially for entertainment, somewhat to gain more power.
• He laughs sickeningly often and at things he shouldn't.
• She has other cults dedicated to her, yet the Morningstars are her favourite, she has devoted a lot into her.
• She was a lot more powerful in the ancient world when farming was a central part of life, millions would pray to her for good harvest, easily making her the most powerful god across the mortal realm. Her power has dwindled ever since.
