At first, Changjing can appear somewhat distant. Paired with the fact he almost always has a straight face, he definitely doesn't seem like the most approachable person. However, he's a very generous person once you get to know him.

Growing up, as Changjing went through school, his parents were often times not home until very late at night. His parents would tell him to keep working hard and although in the past would help him with his schoolwork, slowly stopped as work took a bigger toll on them. Changjing took notice of this and slowly wanted to not bother his parents anymore, leading to a sort of forced independent mindset. Even when he began to struggle in school, he'd do his best to keep it to himself and persevere. After all, he didn't want to let down his parents and become a disappointment or a failure to them. They provided him with everything he needed physically, like a comfortable place to live, food, shelter, clothes, and education, but made clear one thing. Although they care for Changjing, they were unable to make adjustments in their career to take care of a kid without sacrificing their living standards.
Because his parents also were rarely talking to him, Changjing never really learned how to properly talk with others, especially people his age. As a result, he grew up to be a rather independent and quiet person that didn't really know how to talk to others, though was very hard working. And although his parents were rarely around, he had a lot growing up so he was always happy to be generous with others since he knew it would make others happy.
