As the youngest child, Aurora has always lived in the shadow of her older sisters. She felt unwanted for most of her life, and upon hitting her teens, the bullying really took off; it's cold, unfeeling, and she doesn't have any desire to be at home, so she fills her days with anything else.
She has been a pariah after her relationship to another girl was discovered (and subsequently ended) and she's been doing all in her power to avoid any meetcutes her parents set up, including but not limited to treating her prospective suitors like shit.
In the midst of all this, she meets Nova; at first she's wary of them thinking it's yet another ploy by her parents to get her a man, but when she finds out they're not in fact a man, the two become fellow outcast friends.

For the longest time, Aurora has been the type of person who just took the abuse. She'd sit there, and she'd stay quiet as her sisters and mother treated her terribly. As of late, it has started warping her personality, and she has begun acting out against them.
Being constantly forced to go on dates with random guys who range from normal to icky to downright creepy, she has sworn off talking to men entirely, and it has impacted parts of her life pretty badly.
Meeting Nova is an overall positive for her, because she finally has someone with whom she can share all of the rage and frustration that's built up and start to find the person that had gotten lost somewhere along the way.

Aurora meets them at a party, and bristles at first thinking they are a man; when Nova explains they're not, she is immediately relieved. The two of them get along immediately.
They quickly become good friends, and as time passes, Aurora starts feeling more than just that.
- Aurora has a very girly style, but somehow even this isn't good enough for her hyper-conservative mother; she especially gets a lot of shit for wearing short skirts, and is always forced to wear full-length gowns to parties. Her family are old-money types that are so bad in their ways that they are scandalized by knees - she finds it stupid.
- She loves wearing big bows in her hair and keeping it down. She's very proud of how she keeps her hair healthy and looking good, and before her family utterly destroyed her self-confidence, she could even admit to herself that she likes how she looks. These days, she downplays that she cares about herself, hoping it'll somehow lessen the bullying she goes through.
- She likes having manicured nails, though she always keeps it simple - either a single color or a two-color gradient. It feels nice and clean and she rather enjoys trying out colors with different outfits. Her favorite colors are blue, purple and teal.
