Jeren Kellis

Jeren and Emery are close in age, with Emery being about 6 months older. They grew up extremely close, with Jennah acting as a wet nurse to Jeren. When they were very young, they got along well, and were inseparable. However, as they grew older Jeren began to realize that he held a lot of power over Emery and began testing the limits of what he could get away with.
The two’s relationship grew increasingly hostile over the years, transforming from general dislike to outright hatred. They frequently played cruel tricks on each other, and they both hold a great deal of resentment towards the other. Jeren didn’t realize that they were actually siblings until they were preteens and Emery told him.
It wasn’t until recently that Emery realized, though they hate Jeren, the two share a history together, and have happy memories along with the bad ones. Faced with the idea of Jeren’s death, Emery realized that they didn’t have it in themself to kill Jeren, or take any part in his demise.
When finally Emery was confronted and arrested by Jeren, they found out that Jeren had been having his own doubts, trying to separate himself from the Kellis family. Emery has some very conflicted feelings about this, simultaneously wanting Jeren to suffer for all the pain he’s caused others… and wanting to redeem him.
