As long as Senri could remember, dance was his passion. He loved watching dancers of all sorts on stage, sparkle and shine brightly, and always dreamed of joining them someday. While he mostly had no interest in life in general, dancing was something he loved, and something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. His family wasn't one that had a lot of money to spare, but he did his utmost best to find ways to learn dance - whether it be doing chores in exchange for lessons, begging people from dance troupes to let him in and teach him moves, even working 2 part-time jobs simultaneously in high school to be able to effort classes. He may not have always been naturally talented at it, but he pushed himself hard for his dreams, unaware of any future consequences, and it paid off - he was granted a scholarship to study at a prestigious dance academy abroad.
From then on, it was just a natural progression for him to go from a dance student, to a full time professional back-up dancer, to then someone who people could call on as a lead dancer, choreographer, and someone of high caliber to be respected. He worked with singers, idols, you name it, and he couldn't have been happier to be able to do what he loved, and meet others who loved what he loved as much as he did, or appreciated his work.
All dreams have to come to an end however, and it was probably a long time coming for him. The high pressure of working professionally and the relentless schedules finally took a toll on him. His small knee aches turned into a chronic injury, and it wasn't long before he was told he couldn't dance professionally anymore without the risk of completely destroying his knee. It was a hard pill for him to swallow initially, and it caused a downward spiral into depression for him. After his initial rehabilitation, realising he couldn't go back to what he used to do without the risk of landing himself back in the hospital, Senri instead turned to alcohol as his only solace, and seeked company at night to keep his mind and body numb to the point of not remembering.
With nothing left for him but despair, he returned to Tokyo and began a life of partying and avoiding reality, driving himself further into a spiral of depression. It was at his lowest point where he met a bunch of kids at a nearby park, laughing as they learnt the latest idol group's choreography. They were terrible, and none of it was right, but it sparked something in him - it reminded Senri of the joy he used to feel when dancing. On the smallest of whims, he decided to walk over and teach them the dance, and their bright eyes shone in a way he couldn't imagine as they thanked him for teaching them and asked if he'd come to play again.
He realised that while his own dance career had to come to an end, he didn't have to part with what he loved the most. Putting together what little he had, he began conducting small dance lessons for children in the nearby area, which eventually turned into a proper dance studio when he had earned enough with the support of those around him. He spends most of his time teaching dance nowadays, but the occasional choreography request comes in from professionals who recognised his talent in the past and wanted him to continue to support from the background.
