Elder Nénette's Links
As a well regarded leader of their community, Nénette considers the entire Island as her children & their well being her duty. Which makes it tedious to raise 3 actual children on top of that. Mogette being the eldest has always been pushed into to following in her footsteps & with that heir status comes a lot of pressure & expectations. While not the most gentle & understanding parental figure there is, she cares & love a great deal for her 3 adopted grand children, including Mogette.
More than a Grandma, Nénette is a sort of infaillible mentor figure to Mogette. A lot of what she says & do being the results of Nénette tutelage. & while she secretly dreams about seeing the world for herself & fantasize about what exist beyond her tiny island, Mogette knows she's expected to be the next leader of their community and takes that to heart. Maybe too much, forcing herself to grow up faster & be devoid of apparent flaws in fear of disappointing the adults believing in her.

Courgette being the only one out of the 3 to be an actual blood relative of their grandma while also being the most troublesome of the bunch means their relationship is complicated to say the least. She seems indeed to get away with a lot while also being the one that gets scolded the most. The 2 of them being stuck in a cycle of Nénette seemingly not expecting much out of her youngest grand daughter which only prompts Courgette to act more impulsively to gain attention, whether good or bad. If confronted about this by other adults Nénette will simply state that she trust Courgette the most to forge her own path & that both Mogette & Micha needs more attention.
Courgette often butts heads with her Grandma & a lot of Islanders often time find themselves comparing how the 2 are similar, much to Courgette's annoyance who doesn't get in what ways she could possibly be similar to that old grumpy witch of a woman. & while deep down she wished Nénette payed a bit more attention to her she's also delighted to not have the pressure that seems to comes with it. Meaning while her sister have to study a lot & her baby brother seems to cling to Nénette a lot for no apparent reasons she's free to cause mayhem & mischief to her heart's content.

It's around Micha that Nénétte seems to be at her most gentle, knowing damn well that despite being under the Island's Elder care the boy is still seen as an outsider by a lot of his peers. For that reason she taught his sisters early to always take care of their baby brother.
Micha is a bit of a Grandma's boy, being the only one out of the 3 to be even openly affectionate with her at times. Not unlike Mogette he tries to always be on his best behavior to not deteriorate his family & especially his Grandma's reputation. Despite sincerely loving her he still feels like he has to work twice as hard to earn his place in their family & by extension their island.
