Nickname: Jelly, Guodong (果冻), Jellycat, Princess (only by Novilunio, and much to his chagrin)
Abandoned and nearly drowned as a kitten, Gelato was rescued by Sherbet but lost his arm. He, she, and Sorbet—another li'l guy she rescued—have since become a small adoptive family, growing up together. They even followed her when she moved from France to Shanghai for her fashion business.
As for Gelato himself, he's since grown up to be quite tall (a little gangly, much to his dismay) despite having been the runt of the litter as a kitten. Now he's upright, polite, and hardworking, but also rather easily flustered, being more shy than most people expect at first glance. In fact, one thing people don't really expect from his seemingly uptight character is that he's actually a huuuge fan of cute things, with a love for embroidery, sewing, knitting, and other handcrafts.
(Un)fortunately for him, the mechanic of his bionic arm and his (he'd say self-proclaimed) good friend, Novilunio, helps him learn better how to express himself.
The bionic arm itself was something Sherbet sought out for him, finding Novilunio through her client, Damon (since he and Novi are cousins). Gelato didn’t like it at first for sticking out like a sore thumb and for being “not cute,” so Sherbet was actually the one who tied the ribbon to his arm—as a way of making it prettier for her little brother so he feels better accepting it.
