An illithid bard and rogue that, after straying too far away from the Elder Brain it was attached to, found himself a bit lost. After a while of adventuring and discoveries, he was captured, and then freed by a group of travelling elven nobles who saw that he was different from other illithid they'd come across. After being brought along with them as a guide out of the Underdark, he showed his arcane abilities along the way and, for his efforts to protect the elves, grew to gain the noble elf's trust. She welcomed him to her home, and employed him as a guardian to protect it, and a personal advisor, and that is the position he retains to this day.
About
After being separated from the elder brain, Araudir, then known as Malinhoon explored, hardly hindered by creatures as their natural fear of Illithid kept them at bay. Through his travels, he came across a book, hidden away for who knows how long. Within the book, he was able to decipher three things; three different songs. Memorising them, he stored the knowledge away for a future use, and travelled on with the book in hand. Eventually, however, he came across creatures that weren't nearly as quick to shy away; drow monster catchers. After a while of being caught and restrained, he was forced to travel with them for several days before a group of elven individuals came across their camp. Quickly capturing the elves, the drow were quick to dismiss the elves and how dangerous they might be. After a while of decision making, the elves, after the leader of the group spoke with Malinhoon mentally, the elf with the strongest affinity for magic found a way to undo their bindings- including Malinhoon's. Together, they escaped the kidnappers, and using the knowledge he retained from his previous connection to the elder brain, he managed to guide them out and back to the surface world, where he was immediately at a loss of what to do from there. The elven leader, now revealed to be the heiress to a noble house and the future leader of the land it presides over, offered to let him stay within their lands. Accepting the gracious offer, Malinhoon, now given the name 'Araudir' to escape his former name, grew to become a close ally to the noble lady, eventually growing to become a trusted advisor alongside his duties as guardian.

Trivia
- Araudir has a tattoo going down from his left shoulder to elbow, which reads out the elvish word for 'Shield' in elvish script.
- He was given the name 'Araudir' by the elven noble he saved, to replace the shameful name he once had.
- He is surprisingly good with children, after he can convince them that he's not out to eat their brains.
- He is often unaware just how intense and intimidating his stare can get, and so is often confused when people avert their gaze away from him.
