PERSONALITY
Static is an eldritch creature who came into being around 20ish years before the plot of the show. Their main form of inteaction is mimicking those around them. Because of this they tend to match personalities of people, and once they've interacted with enough people they mash them together into what they're like. Currently they're very friendly towards others, and love to aquire more knowledge of anything and everything.
TRIVIA
- They speak in the same tone as the "You've got mail!" notification
- They do not speak using contractions
- They love the rain, and they'll stand outside in it until it stops.
- They blink the wrong way, and because of this they don't blink around other people
- They have read every book in the Library, and even know exactly where the book are located
- Their eyes are really sensitive to the blue light from screens so they have stronger than normal blue light glasses to mitigate this
- At first they have next to no emoting ability. Their resting face is a smile, and they can move their eyebrows, but that's about it. The more time they spend with humans the more they can emote, because the easier it is to mimic them.
- They love just saying fun facts they learned from all the books they read. However, if they are reading a fact from their phone around Ramona, she will pull up a picture of the nerd emoji and say it looks like them. They hate this.
- Their height varies from 6 feet to, "a little too tall"
- Naomi is the only one person who can't say their name, and she just calls them Static, everyone else just says it and thinks it's normal."
HISTORY
Static was created to be a part of my friend's Scott Pilgrim AU. I made them because I thought it'd be fun. Here's their Lore:
Their story starts a little after episode 2 of SPTO. Matthew's been working and comes to the conclusion that he needs a bodyguard because using his mystic powers to summon the hipster demon chicks every time he needs a bodyguard is tiring. So he sends out an ad for a bodyguard, and specifies in it that he wants a human. Static sees the flyer, immidiately mimics the first three people they see and combines them into their current design. They end up getting the position and become his bodyguard for the rest of the show. Sometime before episode five the two begin dating
After the show ends they end up working at the library with Lyra and Ioun, and also end up finding out they're genderfluid!!!
Static is his bodyguard for the first few weeks they know each other. But as they spend more time together they grow pretty close. The reason they end up together in the first place is because of some goofy cliche "oh they slipped and fell into a kiss" because I thought it would be funny. They both like and love each other a lot.
Static first encounters her when she visits Matthew to congratulate him on his new position. Afterwards the two don't really interact until Static begins working at the Library. After that they get to know each other and eventually become friends!
