About
Not everyone met Deméter before... Well, everything. Not many people know who she used to be, but if you've been anywhere near the beach, you probably heard of her deeds. Or at least know someone who told you instead.
To some, those red, glowy eyes are the last thing they saw. To others, they wish they didn't leave alive to be haunted by her in their dreams.
Personality
Deméter is cold and selfish, but it'd take a long time for anyone to notice that. She's very good in acting and manipulating others, to the point where it became almost a vice. Those who know her true nature may believe she never cared or will care about anyone - Grimhalla or not.
Design notes + traits
She looks like a typical siren. The "transparent pearls" around her are bubbles that only appear when she's underwater and/or wet. Her void shape is a snowflake.

Backstory
Deméter used to be a completely different person before. But whoever that Grimhalla was, it's gone now.
Losing people left and right to greedy humans brought the worse in Deméter, especially after her favorite daughter, Juno, had disappeared out of thin air. Believing no one would protect her and her children, Deméter decided to take matters into her own hands. An eye for an eye, a human for each child lost.
However, her revenge grew to something much stronger than she could contain. It became a guilty pleasure, a vice. She grew hunger for power with each action, slowly taking her frustration out on her people.
She used to defend Lanternals and Grimhallas, believing they should stay away from humans at all times. However, she found it conforting to use them for her own gain. Although deep down she hated doing what she does, Deméter never tried to change in any way. She was far in too deep.
Her mistake was [REDACTED], causing her son Vulcan to see her for who she really was. Once he decided to leave, Deméter [REDACTED]. They haven't seen each other since.
FUTURE: too many enemies, unable to prevent mistakes... One day someone will get their revenge on her, she's certain of that. But Deméter doesn't want to stop anytime soon, especially after discovering the truth about Juno's disappearance, and therefore about [REDACTED] too. Little does Deméter know Juno won't take her side in the end - and that would be the biggest punishment she could receive, at least in Deméter's eyes.
Relationships
Juno
Her favorite child - and that was obvious too. She gave her first jewelry and her favorite black dress. Her Sweet Pea was perfect in every way, and Deméter couldn't bare to see her hurt. Loosing her was the last step into the abysm.
Vulcan
One of her oldest children, and the one she's more disconnected with. Yet, she regrets nothing. She promised to keep him safe anyway.
Hades
The only thing she wants is for "Hades" and "dead" to be in the same sentence. Little does she care how it happens.

Trivia
- Deméter's name comes from the greek goddess goddess of the harvest and agriculture with the same name (who I don't think is a villain ;u; Deméter my beloved);
- Thus, the relationship she has with Hades and Juno (who could also be a bit like a counterpart to Perséphone in this case, without the romance part) were inspired by the greek mythology, especially the first case;
- Her voiceclaim is Nora Montgomery from AHS;
