A queen of abyssal origins — one who had everything, lost everything, and regained everything. After her own family conspired and became corrupt, Vesta vowed to restore order to what she viewed as a broken kingdom. Her ascension to the throne came after a long fought power struggle that ended with Vesta beheading her misguided brother -- all in her 20s at the time. She now rules with deceptive grace hiding venomous fangs, but puts those she calls family above all else.

Although master and servant, the two share a relationship that cannot be labelled. After Vesta experienced her first betrayal, it was Helge who swore to always stay by her side — a vow continued to be held true to this day. "You gave your word to stand by my side. So, until you have my say, I do not permit you to die," Vesta declared in a selfish promise. Just as Helge treasures Vesta, Vesta regards the other as the half that makes her feel whole. Like the blood she's spilled is worth the weight.

Vesta knows she is rather overprotective of her daughter, and a part of her wishes she could shelter Roxy forever. Among the losses she experienced in the past, Roxy was the sole life she'd managed to save at the time. In turn, Roxy also saved her. The little sun gave Vesta strength -- the strength to raise her daughter, the strength to care again, and the strength to have a reason to protect again. So, despite not wanting Roxy to leave the nest, Vesta would rather her daughter not follow in the steps she's made. A normal, peaceful life is best.

Edel's constant attempts to vie for Vesta's position is surprisingly welcomed. The competition provides Vesta with a need to stay sharp and on her toes, which she appreciates as to keep ahead of the mind games.

To an extent, Vesta is wary of Yoel — not as a potential threat per say, but moreso for the unpredictability he brings in relations to Roxy. She sees that he is a good kid at heart, but is somewhat miffed regardless. Vesta does not carry qualms about the two's friendship though.
