Chance is an inkling, and a member of the high-level ink sports team Mace. He is friendly, if not a little anxious at times, and will go out of his way to try and help others.
He moved to Inkopolis at the age of 16, to live with his formerly-online best friend Mercedes, after growing up as an only child with overprotective parents. Chance is still not the greatest at being independent, and tends to let his friends make decisions for him.
Chance develops an unbeknownst mutual crush on Rollo shortly after meeting him, and the two of them start dating shortly after the events of At Sixes and Sevens. It takes a few months for them to officially be in a relationship, however.
He is a slosher main, and mostly uses the vanilla Slosher, but sometimes branches out to other variants or the Explosher.
