Wow! Okay! This contest did so much better than I expected!! 

first things first, the art contest! We ended with an even 30 entries and by gods was it hard to pick only three. they all were beautiful, thoughtful, and i am absolutely dying a little inside that i can't give 1st to all of them. this absolutely was the most beautiful mistake because wow deciding was painfully difficult :')

Please do not be rude towards winners - everyone truly deserved to win, but alas, i do not have 4.5k to give every piece 1st place (though i literally so wish i did)

Getting this entry was an entire experience. I saw the gif and it made my heart happy, but then i saw the video link in the description and immediately was mashing keys at echo. the art and animation have a softness that really brings the warmth of their relationship into it, and i absolutely love the thoughtfulness in the significance of lavender, how they make their little promise which was amazingly on point with the thought of them looking at their wedding venue, since they got married at a little lavender farm. just how thoughtful this is and how sweet it is really pulled so many feelings up and both echo and i cried over it. it still makes me tear up.

this piece just screams articulated. by gods, i almost cried at this one too. every single character's personality and expressions are blowing up. mark and leslie blowing the others off for the phone, marlene's chaos and compassion for her friend, mitu's goofball energy, even the lyss cameo in the back! and the kitchen where they're cooking, the brightness of the home, the stores, its all just so lovely. on top of that, luka's use of sign stood out to me fast too! the choices of gifts! it all makes my heart so happy finding details that make my heart happy each time i look at it.

3rd place: yeom

i absolutely adore the feeling of this piece. the lighting and colors are soft and warm, the outdoor setting feels a lot like this could be their proposal scene, and the details of both alcor's clothes and gentleness in the means of the pose just suits them so well. it's got this softness while also feeling sharp and the style just is too pretty to articulate how happy it makes me. and a much smaller, sort of 'selfish' detail choice, but i also just like how the weight of subjects has a focus on luka but doesn't detract from alcor either. 

4th: Haurgrimr

i wont lie, this was my phone background so fast. its so pretty and i love the framing of it. its got just such an energy about it that's so hard to articulate. it feels like the rest of the world doesnt exist beyond them, yet they've taken it all over. they so love each other

5th: https://x.com/buccijojoi love how alive this piece feels! its got a cool spring breeze feeling and the tenderness between luka and alcor just is palpable. it's like a storybook piece about a nice day at the park, felis running around and the two of them just relaxing all the while. it's got so much going for it
