Named after the way his pelt looks like he's rolled in everything he can find, Loudfur was cleaned way too much and often as a kid as it was tough to tell what was and wasn't a stain. As a result he became friends with Mudpelt, who was in a similar predicament, and has followed the other cat's lead ever since. While he's not a bad cat, Mudpelt's influence is not good for him and has lead Loudfur to be part of some bad things.

When he was an apprentice, Loudfur was saved from a fox by his clanmate Foxsight, who he has gratefully looked up to ever since.
