Mudpelt considers himself a go-getter and has plans he believes will greatly benefit his clan, but to others, he's seen as a schemer and a troublemaker. They aren't wrong, as Mudpelt's plans rarely work out and he believes he knows better than anyone else, meaning he does not budge when his methods are questioned. Recently, he even brought in the Clanclan warrior Mousebile to be a member of Marshclan - but for what reason, nobody knows.

He's not disliked by his clan, but most know to leave well enough alone, lest they get roped into his schemes. The exceptions are Loudfur, who's been his friend since kithood, and the warrior Windswipe who may join his less immoral excursions. He was named for the way his fur looks as though he's always swum in mud.
