"QUOTE"

What might seem like a well adjusted, upstanding woman, is really quite the hand full. Hodge presents herself as a focused, professional doctor, however underneath shes bitter, petty, and a mess of emotions. This isn't exactly something she hides, however, if someone proves to be just as mean spirited as she can be, she'll gladly indulge in that. Gossip and venting are an outlet for her, it doesn't necessarily lift her up, but it gives her a chance to get out all the nasty negative emotions she has welled up inside. Shes well aware they're unreasonable, especially how she quietly scowls are other peoples happiness, but that doesn't stop her, its better than letting t bubble up. However with those who seem... too logical, or kind to listen to her vents without giving her input or telling her shes wrong for feeling that way or is just... genuinely too nice to get a kick out of hearing it, she'll flat out avoid and try her best to keep a very pleasant front, even if its... fake. This bleeds into her confidence- or, lack there of. Hodge is very self conscious about her body, in the eyes of most shes perfectly fine, very pretty even, but after experiences with her ex her self image had been dragged through the mud. Shes hyper aware of every mark, fold, her health just in general, and its especially bad around people she doesn't trust. Though, when she can be around the people she trusts, shes much more comfortable in her own skin, even if those people are few and far in between.

Trusting people has always been hard for Hodge. Growing up not being able to make proper connections with her peers, and being as frail as she was, Hodge doesn't trust easily unless she has a reason to. Shes needlessly paranoid and has a bad habit of expecting the worst out of people, even if logically its unlikely. Also because of this, she can be a bit of a control freak. She is very scheduled and likes to know what shes doing, and who shes going to be around in a day, otherwise she can get a bit antsy. She likes to take charge in work spaces shes comfortable in, otherwise though she works fine as a follower/team mate.

On the bright side, Hodge is a very caring person and does what she can to help if anyone needs it. Shes empathetic if people ever come to her with concerns or hardships, and always has an open ear to those who need it, she loves feeling like a comfort to others when she can. However she can be rather blunt and argumentative when it comes to others health, she is very confident in her knowledge and when patience or even just friends brush off her advice/don't do what she tells them, she gets frustrated easily and will call them out on it. Working in the guild only doubles this frustrating as people need to stay in peek health, with the nature of their work. Finally, shes very ambitious when it comes to her work, she's constantly studying and teaching herself new things, always doing her best to stay brushed up on the latest advancements. Hodge does have a bad habit of pushing herself a little too hard at times, but its rewarding for her when she gets a job well done.

Childhood - [0 - 13]

On a cold winter night, Hodge, a tiny Munna was born the eldest of what would be quite the sizeable family. Her father, a Musharna, was a doctor and her mother was merely a stay at home mom and the three of them were a comfortable small family for a short time. It was only three years later that her baby sister Cyril was born, and almost at the same time was when Hodge began to show health problems.

These health issues seemed to come out of nowhere, and the busy parents wern't quite sure what to do about it-- Even Hugo was at a loss the longer they looked into it, their best guess being that it was some kind of issue with her lungs. Because of this, most of Hodge's life was spend indoors, her child hood wasn't exactly the most social one, her only source of interaction with other kids were her baby siblings. During this time, when she was 5 her baby brother Jett was born, and simaltaniously her mother began to home school her between caring for the new baby Munna.

This kept up until she was 8, and her breathing seemed to become stable enough for her to attend a private school. She was a smart girl, and enjoyed school, even if she was a bit shy due to her lack of social interaction in her much younger years. She was omit from PE due to her breathing, and often had to go to the nurses office for check ups. Between being shy and her health issues, it was difficult for her to make friends, as kids tended to avoid her, not understanding why she was so sick all the time-- she was lucky teachers were particularly protective of her, managing to avoid any bulling in her school years.

Teenage - [14 - 17]

At 14, Hodges health took another decline, leaving her bed ridden again. It was frustrating for her... she enjoyed being at school, it made her feel normal. It was a similar situation as before, her baby brother Carmen had just recently been born and her mother was home schooling her again. Over that time however she only seemed to get worse, eventually at 15 Hugo deciding they needed to hospitalize her, and somewhere outside of Tincaster. His theory was that the dusty air was making it that much harder for her to breath, so somewhere with an equally as sizable hospital and moist air would be better, like Sea Song.

That began the loneliest years of her life, but... some of the most interesting. For the years Hodge could remember, she'd always been bed ridden at home, not in a hospital. She'd frequently visit the hospital of cores, but never for very long... Now she was practically living in one. From 15 to 17, she stayed there, Hugo working in the hospital and having a teacher come to give her lessons three times a week. Between that, Hodge studied and talked with staff and other kids in her free time. Soon enough she began to grow interested in medical work, watching and listening to the nurses and doctors work was... kind of inspiring. It also made her want to figure out what specifically was wrong with her, listening to theories and tests be thrown around only peeked her interest further, and she eventually asked her father for some books on medicine and medical work. He obliged and continuously brought her new reading material... and soon it was settled, when she could she'd apply for university to become a doctor.

Adulthood - [18 - 30]

And that seemed to be sooner than she thought! when she was almost 18, her health began to increase again-- it wasn't perfect, but she could function easier again. She was on a few medications this time around, and they seemed to be helping- she was feeling confident, and after moving back home, settling in and graduating, she began to send out university applications. After some waiting, she was accepted to a good university, and her secondary schooling began! She was feeling better than ever- still a bit shy, but other the duration of her school life, she began to open up a bit, going out with classmates and... really start to feel normal. Her peers treated her like she was normal, making a point to take care of her when she had trouble keeping or breathing, it was nice to be around people that accepted her.

While they were out one night, her friends even encouraged her to talk to a man performing in the bar. He was a complete opposite to her- he was charming and full of energy and passion for his music, he called himself Mez, and she couldn't help but find him endearing. After awhile the two became friends, then dating, then engaged and soon enough- married. She was young, but... ecstatic! In spite of her health she felt good, she was reaching her ladder years of schooling and felt her life reaching a peek- hell, she was feeling confident enough to consider a child, when her husband brought it up...

The prospect was... scary and exciting, all at once. She knew her health wasn't great, but she was taking good care of herself, and she assumed her condition wouldn't be hereditary. So, with the health of artificial insemination, Hodge eventually became pregnant.

She took some time off school to take care of herself, and eventually the baby. However her pregnancy was.... anything but comfortable. Most pregnancies are rocky, but Hodges had her bed ridden yet again. She was a mess, scarily so, and it terrified her what that could mean for the baby. It was one of the hardest points in her life, only second to actually giving birth-- and.... then that was second to hearing that her baby girl, Charlotte Sewick, a tiny baby Munna, seemed to have some health issues at birth. The baby survived, to the new parents relief, the both of them falling absolutely in love with her the moment they laid eyes on her...

Hodge poured everything into taking care of her new born daughter despite her health- both of them did. Though... Hodge couldn't help but he a bit protective, getting snappy with her husband if he did something that didn't quite seem right or perfect- this only got worse and worse as their child's health faltered further, and before she could reach the age of two, despite the efforts of her parents and doctors- she passed.

This was.. officially the lowest point in Hodges young life, and she doubted it could ever be topped. She couldn't help but blame herself- for bringing such a harmless, perfect child into the world just to make her suffer. She fell into a depression... soon throwing herself back into her schooling as a distraction, and soon began to avoid her husband. It was like they were drifting a part- they Were drifting apart, and soon, that ended in a divorce. It was like everything she built shattered beneath her- Hodge moved in with her younger brother Jett and began to work on herself again. Her heart ached, she felt so low, alone, like a failure- her schooling and family was the only comfort she had, and... despite it all, her ambition wasn't about to let that go to waist. She poured herself into her school work, graduating and beginning to work. As the years passed, Charlotte death never once left her, but she let that motivate her to help the people sick and broken like her. She had a drive, and for awhile that drive might of been too strong, taking a bit of a physical tole on her- but she didn't mind, she needed it to help pull her out of her slump.

Around this time she was also beginning to travel a lot for conventions, and this was how she met her friend Jarek, another doctor who'd later be a strange support system for her, despite his jerky attitude. She was back and forth from island to island, doing short lectures and sharing her own theories and medical discoveries with doctors, it was nice- and she felt like she was begining to move on with her life. She also finally evolved! Something she never exactly put much thought into but... figured being 28 at this point, it was long overdue.

Overestimating herself a bit, she decided to try dating again- she was beginning to feel lonely again, especially after moving out of her brothers apartment and into her own. Eventually, she began seeing a doctor she worked with, a Grumpig named Gunther- who seemed charming enough at first... though, after long he seemed to get frustrated with her health issues getting in the way of thing, the man becoming toxic and showing his true colors. She miss judged her own self judgment as well, finding herself justifying the insults and hurtful words he'd spit at her when she seemed less than perfect- before her brothers and friends began to catch on and snapped her out of it. Breaking up with him was anything but easy, and her self confidence took a heavy hit, but... she was alone again... in a healthier situation.

Her brother Carmen moved in and she began working as usual, however it wasn't easy sharing the same work space as her ex. For awhile, she forced herself to bear it... She focused in more time working with some new apprentices for awhile, until she couldn't handle it anymore, deciding it was time she left Tincaster in general for good. To move on she Truly needed to move on, and without much trouble, she managed to get a job in Everstone, them lacking in medical staff. Along with that, her apprentice Sylvester, an Aromatisse offered to come with her, as did her younger brother Carmen- which she accepted, not wanting to be alone anymore than he had to be...

And with that, she packed up and left the duty city behind, finding herself a comfy place to live and work in the rather dull Everstone City.

Disaster - [30]

However, that peace she craved didn't seem to last long... as a storm began to brew, engulfing the city in rain and storm, some kind of clash of gods raging up above. It was all a lot to take in- hell, she fainting onto an hour into it and woke up being held by her younger brother in a shelter hours later... She had no idea what happened, Carmen explaining he carried her here, a few other citizens hiding with them... When she managed to get her bearings, she began to help people with injuries until the storm subsided... only to see the city was trashed by the intense storm.

Post Disaster - [30 - 31]

Hodge was one of the lucky ones, her home was damaged but the strong stone the everstone homes were built out of kept it standing, it wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed. Work was also intense for the next few weeks, someone always needing help- people from villages coming in injured with no home... Eventually a guild opened up in the city, the rescuers bringing in more and more injured who got lost in these strange maze like "dungeons"... it was all so strange to her, but she was grateful for the work the guilds provided.

A few months in, she honestly began to think on joining as well- she'd met with her cousin Gorree, who was working there and had nothing but good things to say, even if the work was tough... though he was awfully vague, it made her consider joining more, wanting to know what kind of secrets they were keeping.. It didn't help when Sylvester decided to joined as well, though her work at the hospital kept her very busy... So she pushed the thought back, deciding to think and wait on it more.

Time went on and on, more and more crazy things happening to the region, the guild revealing more strange information and so on... it was all so interesting, she couldn't help but want to join more and more but couldn't find a good reason... Well, until the fall. Gorree lost a leg on one of the guilds lengthy excursions, and that winter when they went on another longer exploration, he stayed behind, living with her for that month they were gone... The man was clearly in a bad place, going beyond just having lost a limb, she worried for him greatly... and wanting to keep a closer eye on him was about to set her over the edge... And what finally tipped her was finding out her friend Jarek had joined. It was... strange, but she figured she had enough reasons piling up to give it a go... She hesitated a bit... waiting till after Christmas but... eventually applied, wanting to assist with her advanced medical knowledge as well as just being curious.
