- Adopted first daughter of Hugo and Aveline, siblings are Brice, Shaye, Nico, and Inge
- Age is 11, she was adopted into the family shortly before her first birthday when a elven woman travelling alone stayed at the inn. Marit was so very small and the mother looked road weary so Hugo and Aveline offered her a room for the week at the charge of a single evening, helping the mother tend to the little child and cleaning them both up. The mother admitted she had long to travel and little money, asking them to take the young girl so she would not be lost on the road, they accepted and asked her destination promising to keep in touch through letters
- Through their letters and knowledge of the mother's connection to her heritage, Hugo and Aveline put effort into making connections with the local elven population so Shaye and Marit could attend the different rituals and festivals held throughout the year as a way to keep a connection with their heritage
- Brice adores her from the moment she's part of their family, finally having a little sister to dote on and spoil, still regularly sends her small trinkets that can fit in with his letters be they small ribbons for her hair, various beads so she can make jewelry, and pressed flowers for their scent. She was heart broken at 5 when her oldest brother left for work across the kingdom and the letters often don't feel like enough when it means he isn't by her side
- Between Brice leaving for work and Shaye taking on work in the inn, Marit grew up closer to Nico and Inge than her older siblings. The three are often found together playing and causing mischief whenever they aren't with their family, friends, or pursuing their interests individually
- At her current age she has begun to take an interest in the work her mother does, helping with the cooking and taking over care of the chickens now that Brice is no longer living with them. She enjoys the act of creating things and this means she spends a lot of time with Aveline who spends much of her time crafting and creating the things the inn needs to function
- Embroidery is a hobby she picked up in her spare time, since she started at 9 the inn has gathered an eclectic variety of embroidered pillows, curtains, towels, and other items that add a bit of color and charm to the inn's usual simple but quality fare
