Claire Ó Fiaich's Links
Cousin. She is still only little, it took my aunt a very long time to conceive. I enjoy babysitting her. Being the only able-bodied cousin on the grounds, I hope that I can be a sister of sorts whenever she needs one. Her mother and our grandmother can be... a lot, at times.
Cousin, she's real nice to me and actually listens to me talk about fish and plants and stuff. She's real sad a lot. Less strict than Mom and Grandma thats for sure.
Mother. She works tirelessly to support Conrad, and our father, when he was alive. If we cannot find a way to help him soon, I fear for her heart. ... I also fear the case that I may also be afflicted with the family condition. I do not want to make her fret so much over me.
Daughter
Father... heaven must have needed more hardworking angels, to take him so soon... He was a straightforward, no-nonsense man, and worked diligently on our farm. I wish I could have had some more of his work ethic; I frequently feel the need to mope or run someplace far away.
Daughter
Older brother. He is physically incapable of performing any tasks on his own, at this point. I remember how strong he was when we were young... he used to carry Faye and I up on his shoulders, and show us the biggest fish in the ponds. Heheh, I remember one time he threw us in and got in so much trouble. Remember that?
Sister
Grandmother, and mentor figure in a lot of aspects of life. She is the matriarch of our family, and I cannot say that I always agree with her, but she does care in her own way, and we have a very successful business. The largest point of tension is that she had my aunt sent away, which father very much disagreed with.
Granddaughter, she has shaped up to be quite the business lady. I dare say I'm pretty proud of her. Hopefully she proves to be more resilient than my sons and her dear brother. Such an unfortunate curse upon the family...
Grandfather. He passed before I was born, of the same condition that is taking the other men of the family... I certainly hope that it only affects men, for the sake of us still able. I have been told that he was kind, hardworking, and a devout Christian. It is too bad I never got to meet him, even though parting is painful.
Granddaughter
Uncle. He and my father were very close. He's started to show symptoms as well, so we are quite worried about him. He seems very out of sorts, but who can blame him? We are working to transfer his duties to others in the farm operations.
Niece
Aunt. She has been healthy thus far, and I do hope she stays that way. She takes after grandmother a lot and can be very uptight, but it's never easy to watch, and I want what's best for Karina and the family. Mh, just between you and me... don't you think that spot on her face resembles somewhat a fish..?
Niece
Aunt. I have never met her, as she was ejected from the family for her, er. Allegedly witchlike behaviors. My father was fond of her, so I don't really think it is true that she cursed the family. If she did, why would it be folks like Conrad and father dying, instead of grandmother or auntie Eden?
Niece.
Cousin. I have heard that aunt Millicent has a son around my age, but I have never met him. Admittedly, I am curious, but we have historical avoided the Wyndhams so to obscure the nature of our disease which we may have sent to them. It is part of the reason I was never introduced to his cousins as a potential bride.
Cousin. She and Furby are friends, so, that seems to have balanced things out and made her... level-headed and practical, for an Ó Fiaich, anyway. I do believe that she did not realize just how harshly I'd be treated... and I hope she cannot tell just how much meeting has been like walking through my personal Hell. What have I done to deserve this...
Best friend since we were newborns, we were practically sisters... as we got older, we've sort of grown apart... I have my duties to attend to, while she lives rather freely. I do wish I could be more like her... but lately I've been wishing she would come home. It's been... hard as of late...
Claire is practically my sister! We've grown up side by side! She's like a business lady and stuff! Super successful and cool! So serious! ..... Though I will say she's going though a lot right now- Losing her dad, and Conrad is likely to pass any day now. I know I should be there, but I just... I'm scared? Sorry Claire. I promise I'll be home soon.
