Eli Acker

Eli is smart, talented, funny, and a fantastic liar. He's smug when he wins, and bitchy when he loses. He's a huge flirt with anyone who speaks to him, and loves to say things that will get a reaction. He plays by his own rules and isn't afraid to commit to a bit, if it means he will get attention for it. Even those who have known him for years find it hard to predict what he's going to say or do next, as if he has an innate ability to do the opposite of what you expect.

Most of Eli’s personality is a giant mask. It's been built up since his childhood, raised being told that he wouldn't measure up to his more successful brother. Instead of letting the comparisons destroy him, he built himself up around them, creating his own false narrative of himself. He tells himself that he is the smartest, and the funniest, or else he might start to doubt. The doubt is always there, but he drowns it out best he can by sticking around people who will fuel his ego.

He was very popular through all of his school years, starting from being the best at tag and hide-and-seek, from the best at track and a must have on your team during any gym sport of choice. He's a natural athlete, born to compete and born to win. Kids would argue to have him on their teams during dodgeball, because they knew if they weren't with him, then their chances of losing became exponential. He is not humble when he wins, either. Being on the opposite team from him just isn't a good time. It's a mix of natural skill and a deep stubbornness for never wanting to lose that makes his sports career so promising.
