Lia grew up alongside her twin brother, Leo (who was originally meant to be Lio, but there was worry that they would have bad handwriting and the names would look the same..) in a happy and supportive family. She gets along well with both of her parents, but is closer with her dad. They encouraged her to pursue her passions, which was mainly surfing. She feels the happiest when she's surfing or hanging out with her boyfriend, and she's a hopeless romantic.

After a long time of surfing on her own, she wanted to teach people to enjoy it as much as she does. Because she grew up in a supportive family, alongside her annoyingly hyper brother, Lia has overflowing patience with people she teaches. She knows surfing is hard, and she respects anyone who wants to learn.

She didn't just pick up teaching, though. She wanted to make sure she was ahead of the game, so she was lifeguard certified, and purchased several surfboards with her own money. She wants people to enjoy surfing, and not worry about having to get a board for their lessons. If people want to learn to swim, she also offers to teach that.
