Flamepaw

A short-fur, mostly white tom with red classic tabby patches and hazel eyes. He's taller and more muscular for his age and will likely take after his father's larger build. He has small tufts on his ear tips.

He’s an outgoing, tom who can be opinonated for better or worse. He enjoys exploring, though has learned early on the fragility of life and holds common sense when going about his adventures. Social situations are enjoyable for him but it's rare for him to feel competitive with friends and denmates. While exciteable about new things, he's generally on the calmer side.

PRE-RP(4 moons at start of rp)

Flamekit was born to Brightflower alongside four other kits, though only two of his siblings would survive. He enjoyed playing with his littermates and father, Ambertuft, when the warrior came to visit them. Oftentimes, Softkit would have to sit out due to their frail body. Flamekit would often check in on his littermate throughout the day, always happy to sit and chat or go with them to listen to stories. Other times he'd play with his other sibling, Beekit, and explore the camp. While he did share the nursery with his older cousins, Sparkkit and Adderkit, they were often on their own adventures. By the time he was bigger, they'd be leaving for the apprentice den.

A moon before becoming an apprentice, the weather would turn colder and the rain wouldn't seem to stop. The weather ended up being too much for Softkit and Flamekit's smaller littermate would join Star Clan. The loss gave the young tom an understanding to how fragile life could be. Unlike his cousin Sparkpaw who seemed to think himself invincible, he could see how fast a cat's life could be taken away. Flamekit sat vigil with his parents, mourning the loss and vowing to become a good enough warrior for both of them!

DURING RP

Flamepaw is a new apprentice alongside his littermate, Beepaw. Due to this, he avoided Sparkpaw's crazy scheme of trying to fight off the foxes in the territory—thank the stars. As young as he is, even he knew it was a horrible idea. And bad it was with terrible consequences. Thawspring and his aunt-in-law, Maplegaze left after being informed by the older apprentices upon their frantic return that a fox had taken Sparkpaw.

Only Thawspring returned. He sat and listened to the announcement from Duskrose, hearing that his cousin, while saved, had ran off toward the twolegplace. Maplegaze had been killed and taken by the fox—Addpaw's wail of grief highlighting the tragedy. Flamepaw would help Morningpaw comfort Adderpaw in the apprentice's den, vaguely listening to what the warriors were talking about. Going after the fox but also... Saffronstar. Blame for the situation going to him. The young tom couldn't follow much with what was happening, only knowing that they'd be staying in camp where it was safe while the warriors handled things.

A lot of change occurred once the patrol returned. Duskrose would announce she would go to the moonstone to get her lives while Stormpath was made deputy. Not knowing much of politics or why his father's actions might make some in the clan wary of him becoming deputy, Flamepaw happily joined in on cheering for Stormpath.

His own mentor Weaseltuft would take him to the old camp for hunting training now that the foxes were gone. He was eager to see the old camp and work on his training now that it could be done without the fear of a fox attacking.

Was upset he didn't get to go to his first gathering with his sister and complained about it for a while that night. Eventually however, he tried to distract himself by practicing some of his training but ended up just going to bed early.

In the next two moons he felt hunger gnawing at him almost constantly. A large and still growing young cat, the scarce prey of leafbare really didn't do him many favors. Less cheerful than usual, he found training hard to focus on unless he had something in his stomach. The current moon doesn't feel as though it'll hold much more promise in terms of food and he's pining for the warm days of greenleaf.
