Maxwell, the mysterious and enigmatic train conductor, and a former resident of the city of Londai. 

Maxwell grew up in the  utopian city that became the pinnacle of innovation and technological advancement. But underneath the city's shining exterior was a dark secret of corruption and insanity, which slowly tore the whole city apart.

Once a loyal citizen, Maxwell was deeply affected by the city's spiral into insanity and corruption after they had noticed the presence of spirits in the streets. 

Yet even in the darkest times, there was a part of him that still believed in the good of humanity, seeking out the truth beyond his dystopian city. 

As he worked as the train conductor, Maxwell found himself having to watch out of the Spirits that also traveled the train. Which were mainly a student named Akuna and a pleasant guy named Kaitaro. 

Headcanons: 

Maxwell is sensitive and deeply mourns the loss of the city's glory and longs for a chance to set things right. He feels horrible things happened this way and the city started to divide at the corruption.

Maxwell has a secret hobby of painting portraits of the cityscape, he hides them in his attic.

He always had a keen interest in the world beyond the city and was always searching for answers to hidden truths that he believed were being held from the public.
