Eziel is an apathetic individual who seems to be rarely, if at all, fazed by anything. Everything to him is the same song and dance (with exception of technology). Not much is really known about him, but he is definitely much older than he appears to be; evidently from his archaic way of speech and constant bemusement of modern day technology. He prefers to remain silent, but in the times he does speak, his words carry weight and wisdom one should consider. Yet, his words are blunt and removed from emotion, so one should also steel themselves for harsh critique. If you manage to get a response out of him he either has taken a liking to you, or finds you irritating; he won't tell you which he feels about you though. He does not spare any concern or energy towards the opinions others hold towards him which explains his slightly disheveled appearance and apathy towards speaking modern Esrevian. It seems he is very unaccustomed to the way of life in Esrev as he doesn't understand why he can't carry his knife around as self defense openly.

Design Notes

• His left eye is always covered. Always.
• The upper half of his face is obscured in shadow
• Has dead looking eyes; they don't have any sheen
• Red markings under his eyes (they're kind of obscured by his eyebags)
• The eyebags are probably permanent
• Thin/lean body type (ectomorph) and on the skinnier side. He has some muscle definition
• His entire body, save for his face and neck, are covered in scars. The left side of his abdomen is heavily scarred
• His right horn is broken (dw sometimes I forget it exists as well)
• Around 175 cm (5'9") in height

Trivia

• Appears cold and stoic. Has a great poker face though

• Can be scarily patient but also exceedingly reckless
• Hyper vigilant. He's already figured out all the exit routes for any building and area he steps in to
  • He will never have his back exposed, so you'll always find him leaning against a wall, furniture, etc.

• Imparts great wisdom, but has a very blunt, almost a harsh way of communicating it. His advice is rarely taken due to how many people received emotional damage instead
• Speaks archaically and has an unidentifiable accent
• Yeah... I don't think this man is 26. He will try hard to convince you otherwise though
• He often writes in his journal and is actually a decent writer
• Everyday, he is disappointed in everyone 😔
• So far he has been fined 9 times for breaking dress code. Has he paid any of them off yet? No

Relationships

Azraelia [ Ally ]

It's no surprise to anyone that Eziel finds Azraelia obnoxious and quite frankly, irritating. Still, he can somewhat understand her bizarre behaviour and attributes it to her age and youth. From his perspective, she is practically a naïve child. Although he sometimes spends days wondering why he even bothers to put up with her, she was the only one willing to tag along with him on his journey despite their unconventional meeting. He finds that he should look out for her as Esrev has become more hostile than he remembers. Innocence seems rare to come across nowadays.

Xyza [ Acquaintance? Adversary? ]

To call these two acquaintances would be downplaying their hatred quite severely. Both parties despise each other for their views have never once aligned. From a brief period of time where they had to work together, Eziel thinks of Xyza as a temperamental, impatient liability. An opportunist with no forethought. An idealist with no care for the future. She would enable the current populace with opportunities at the expense of future generations if it meant for fleeting peace.

"Akathama Chamaris" [ Employer ]

Akathama is impressed by such an enigmatic. Where had this slovenly character crawled out of? And how was he able to intimidate anyone with just a glare? Assuming Eziel hailed from a disadvantaged background in dire need of money because Akathama himself is very wealthy and benevolent, he hired him to be his bodyguard for his activities away from authorities. The only clause in their contract is that he must never ask any questions or pry for details.
