"To be honest, as much as I do love him, our relationship has become...strained as of late. I've noticed I lie to him a lot more than usual. Like about where I am, who I'm with, things like that. For as similar as we are, it's becoming more and more obvious that we're different people. Father...really only cares about me and Dad. Which isn't really a problem, I don't expect him to do anything more. But...I just...I hate that the one I love is nothing more than an object to him..."

"It's honestly funny how different Dad is from Father. Sometimes I wonder how they even got close in the first place. But I never ask. Because if I did, I would probably get this long and boring story about them and I'd be stuck listening to him talk all day and just- No thanks. But I do appreciate that he does understand me more on a emotional level. I feel like I can tell him things I can't really tell Father. And he is able to give better advice on how to go about life."

But...there is one thing I do rely on her for. If anything happens to...someone I care about...she's the one I can go to when I want to help them. She's the only one here at home that won't look at me strangely or shrug their shoulders and say there's nothing to be done."

"My teacher when I decided to study on my own. I will admit, it was a bit bizarre, and a strange coincidence, knowing now that he is my brother in law. But after getting over that, I won't really complain. He's a good teacher, allowing me a lot of free reign with my studies, but also does know how to keep me from going off the rails. Despite him following in the footsteps of his mother, he's the one who helped me understand my own path."

"My...half sister? I remember Father vaguely talking about his first, a half kitsune, but it kinda went one ear and out the other. So it was a bit of a shock. And even more so when I came to find out that we are both so similar and complete opposites at the same time. I think we're getting closer now, but it's still very awkward. She's an adult with a kid and, well, I'm still a kid. But we still bond over a lot of things, so that's good in the least."
