Florence Warbler
Light - Healing - Beginner
Florence is a young and inexperienced light mage who due to the unpopularity of his natural school hasn't been the most liked kid around town from a young age already and these days he's on his own hoping to find people who can use his skill. He's a rather cocky young man who likes a good fight, but because of his advantage he most often wins the fights he picks.
Despite the lack of interest in it from the people around it and even their fear of his light magic, Florence himself has always been captivated by its powers and effects on the people around him. He had the luck of unlocking his power when he was just a baby and could cast damaging light when he was age 6, even if it was just very minor damage. It was playing around for him back then, but thanks to his interest he had a pretty large head start on most children his age who wanted to do magic.
His magic is still very weak and is mostly used because people recognise it as light magic, not because It can do significant damage. Only in an outburst can he deal real damage, but at a cost. He aims to become better at magic and to find someone who appreciates it for what it's worth.

Florence is a rather small Southerner man, standing 157cm or 5'2 tall and weighing 59kg or 130lbs. He has a thin yet athletic build with visible muscles in the arms, legs, and chest. His skin is a saturated light orange in colour.
He has a medium sized flat nose and a round face shape with round cheeks, the last being the only sign of his young age. His eyes are green in colour; they have an almond shape and he has strong eyebags underneath them at all times. His ears are pointy and he has a long pointy tail. His eyebrows are thick and short and he has a small goatee on his chin. His horns are a dark grey in colour and are short in length and slightly curved backwards.
His hair is chocolate brown in colour and has a straight texture. He wears it at shoulder length and loose.
Thanks to his love for clothing and the vulnerability his body is subjected to as a result of his magic, he has the habit of wearing many layers of clothes. His current traveling attire is no different. His indoor clothing, and the clothing he wears underneath his outdoor clothing, consists of a green wool shirt with olive markings in the colour and at the bottom. His trousers are a dark green in colour and are made of a thick isolating fabric, and they are kept up by a black leather belt with a brass buckle. He wears black leather boots ending under his knees with shoelaces and a belt with a brass buckle running over each foot. He often also keeps his battleskirt on, which is a light brown-white hide skirt that is short in the front and long in the back. It is tied around his waist with a dark brown leather band and several orbs and bags hang from it.
His clothing for the outdoors is a bunch denser. Over his shirt he wears a long sleeved shirt; the body is dark green and the sleeves are a lighter green in colour. Above it he wears a sturdy black leather tunic, its elegance coming from the horizontal layers of the leather and the metal parts that decorate the shoulders of the piece as well as the two insignias on the chest area. He wears dark grey wool gloves on his hands with above that black leather gloves that leave his fingers out. The tunic is topped off with a dark green thick wool sleeveless shirt with a high neck. This shirt is covered in two darker horizontal stripes by the top and bottom. The attire is finished with a thick wool cloak, very dark green in colour, draped over his shoulders.
Florence’s wardrobe is built around facing the cold and protecting his body from the harmful effects of his light magic. It’s carefully layered to trap as much hot air inside. He tries to keep his mobility optimal whilst looking cool, but the form that flows from the function of retaining heat slightly hinders his movements.
Florence is more of a lone wolf than a social person but can interact with others if he needs to. He's used to being on his own so he has no trouble keeping himself busy and amused, and his constant moving around and practising play a big role in that as well. Many people have shunned him for his powers but he can deal with the consequences just fine. If anything, he's happy that his fascination with light magic helps him weed out the people that would've left him anyway for some other dumb reason. His lack of fear to be alone forever is a part obliviousness and a part that he can find his own happiness without needing others' affection. Attention is an entirely different story.
He is a cocky guy and can sometimes drive his interest just a little too far for it to be healthy. He's well aware of how rare his ability is and how powerful it is against others even if he isn't good at it yet and he uses that knowledge to his advantage. He's the type to go looking for fights with people he knows he'll win against and then still hail his victory as something special. He loves showing off and he loves the attention it gets, even if that sometimes means he'll get in a lot of trouble for showing off dangerous magic. He has a rather unique view on life and isn't scared to die but he still won't enter any fights he's sure he won't walk away from.
For that exact reason he is a sore loser. He's not used to losing fights and even when he does, he's used to being able to run away from it not to face any shame or acknowledge his loss. He has the hardest time dealing with humiliation and at times would honestly rather die than to face his own loss, as a way to spit in the face of the one who'd end it and keep them from that little bit of satisfaction he knows they're after.

Florence uses light magic. It is his natural magic pool element, meaning that unlike most demons he has the capacity to cast it without requiring years of training to unlock the ability. This doesn't mean he was born strong, only that if he put the effort into practicing he would go from no magic skill at all to some magic skill. He is an offensive based mage but has experimented with healing as well; his offensive is at a new intermediate skill while his healing skill is at just the beginner level.
Because light is the direct opposite of demons' natural body element, darkness, casting light magic has a harmful effect on his own body as well. Casting hurts his own hands and eventually arms and body if it is overdone. From his years of practice he's grown mostly used to the effect but heavier casting can still harm him as much as anyone else. The toll his magic takes on his body is exponential; it starts off very low and slowly rising but the more he casts, the quicker the side effects get harsher.
Right now most of his magic is an illusion; creating balls of light that scare off any potential enemy but that don't really damage people that badly should they hit. He can create some pretty damaging bolts of light but they take some time to form and drain him quickly. He can also create an aura around him, but he can barely keep that up for more than half a minute. Should he give his everything he can inflict quite the amount of damage but it has the capacity of sending him into a coma or even kill him.
