Oh, come on, live a little!

The charming, charismatic entertainer.

Height  5'11
Body Type  Mesomorph
Body Build  Lean and muscular
Weight  165 Lbs
Body Shape  Inverted Triangle
Attractiveness  Very Attractive

Bishal is a tall, lean male with espresso skin and heather and gold-colored eyes. His skin is smooth and fairly clear, and his care and attention to the health of his complexion is something he takes immense pride in. His hair is thick, long, and pink in color, and tends to be fairly straight unless he styles it otherwise. He normally wears his hair half up and half down. When unstyled and left down, his hair falls past the small of his back and almost to the middle of his rear. Bishal enjoys styling his hair, especially for performances, and he enjoys a good hairstyle that incorporates braids and waves- but he loves a good man bun as well.

He is 5 feet 11 inches in height, just shy of six feet. Though teased by other members of his dance troupe for not making the "six-foot club", Bishal is very proud of his height, feeling that if he were any taller he wouldn't be as agile or flexible. He has never been one to be insecure about his body, and his proud of his naturally attractive features and does his best to make sure both his body and mind are healthy. He has an inverted triangle shape, his shoulders broad, and his biceps fairly muscular from years of toning his body through dance.

As mentioned previously, Bishal is a very well-kept man, making sure his skin is clear and healthy and that his nails are clean and trimmed. He enjoys caring for his body and finds it necessary to do so as thanks for the experiences and opportunities it has given him through his occupation. He doesn't mind a bit of stage makeup and wears it proudly, thinking it only adds to his mystique and natural charm. He is very concerned about his troupe members' skin health and will chide and tease his peers when they are not taking care of themselves.

Voice

Bishal has an earnest, yet shrewd and teasing lilt to his tone. He is playful and easy-going, enjoying a good snarky comment or tease to throw at those who speak with him. His voice is more of a smooth and somewhat sultry bass than tenor and is very rumbly when he first wakes up. Ultimately though, he's fairly modulated when calm and collected, with a playful lilt when in a teasing or confident mood. Bishal isn't one to mutter or slur his words, though when he is drunk he tends to be somewhat incoherent in his words. His laugh is fun and somewhat contagious, especially when thrown into bubbly giggle fits, and gets pretty animated when excited or passionate about a topic that is being discussed. Even though he argues he's quite level-headed and isn't too easy to excite, the right conversational topic has him unfurling like a rose, eyes sparkling and all. When speaking to those he is fond of, whether platonically or intimately, his tone remains fairly modulated with soft hints of familiarity, and when in softer moods his voice seems to follow such emotions. When stressed, irritated, or angry, he does his best to keep himself level-headed, though his voice does become a bit more gruff and restrained. He doesn't enjoy being angry and will do whatever he can to direct arguments to calmer waters with a few well-timed chaffs or jokes.
Voice Claim

Accent

When he spent more time in Sumeru, Bishal had a natural Sumeran inflection- however, after traveling extensively beyond the region, his accent disappeared for the most part.
Example of Accent

Handwriting

Bishal's handwriting isn't neat by any means but it's fairly legible. Letters written by him are fairly long with many misspelled words crossed out in heavy scribbles. He tends to doodle quite a bit in his letters when he's trying to describe something he has seen during his travels and does his best to explain the image in detail in case the receiver is confused. Funny enough, Bishal is a fantastic artist and loves drawing the regional flowers he sees when traveling with his troupe.
Example of Handwriting

Attire

Bishal wears traditional Sumeran attire- though, unlike most individuals with pyro visions, he tends to wear more cool-toned colors rather than the firey warm colors many of his counterparts wear. He is a big fan of purple-toned colors, as well as darker green shades. Due to his life as an entertainer, Bishal tends to gravitate to more elaborate and embellished costumes comprised of shiny decals and adornments. His clothing tends to be light and airy for more fluid and intricate movement, so soft silks and drapes are his go-to to give off the illusion that he too, is a flame himself.

When not under the scrutiny of his patrons, Bishal tends to still wear lighter and airy clothing, nice trousers paired with soft silks that may or may not show a bit of skin. Bishal tends to overheat quite often, so it isn't common to see him walking around nearly topless. He never seems to mind the attention it brings to him- he enjoys it and appreciates the fact those around him appreciate his natural-born looks. When dancing, Bishal does not wear any type of shoe, though when out for casual strolls he does wear a nice pair of sandals- enough to keep his feet from the wear and tear of the roads.

Sleepwear for Bishal is yet again, more light and airy robes, and most of the time he just ends up sleeping topless with some pajama shorts to cover his lower half. Again, his tendency to overheat makes it hard for him to add layers, and will normally sleep without blankets or at least one that's not as thick.

Accessories

Bishal knows all too well how crucial it is to capture the attention of those around him, whether old patrons or potential new ones- so, he tends to adorn himself in shiny and elaborate jewlery to accentuate his dancer status. He adores bangles and jewelry that jingles, the sound always signaling his arrival onto the streets of Sumeru City or his entrance to the stage he is performing on. The shinier it is the better, and he relishes in the way the light catches off his jewelry while he dances under the firelight.

Bishal has a myriad of piercings as well, his more noticeable one being the vertical surface piercing on his left eyebrow. He has many ear piercings as well and enjoys both studs and dangle ear cuff earrings. Bishal also has a belly button piercing as well as a tongue piercing, which he loves showing off when teasing his groupies. Bishal is also a fan of anklets and ankle bangles- the more decorated he is, the better.

His vision rests on the waistband of his bottoms, a stark reminder of the blessings he has been given. He takes massive pride in his vision and sees it as a symbol of hard work and perseverance.

Scars

Bishal's skin is fairly scarless, most likely due to the rigorous upkeep of his skin. That's not to say that he hasn't experienced the occasional scrape or bruise, he just cares for them to an almost obsessive degree in hopes the wounds will not scar. When injured he will shut himself away for days to focus on tending to his wounds, but will be a friend for life if offered healing elixirs or potions. When his friends are injured he will tend to them as fervently as he does himself, not wanting his friends to be marred either.

Tattoos

He does not have many tattoos, save for the dragon tattoo between his shoulder blades. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision on his part when he was much younger and a bit more rebellious- and though he regretted it for a time, he thinks it adds to the charm of his persona. If one was to ask him whether he would get another tattoo or not, he would most likely say no, and express that he is more of a piercing guy.

MBTI  ENTP-A
Enneagram  Type 8
Demeanor  Light-hearted and shrewd
Temperament  Sanguine

Bishal is a calculative and light-hearted individual who loves a good tease. He's relaxed and calm in demeanor and tends to be more observant than most despite being seen as too immature and flirtatious by those around him. He enjoys being the center of attention, much to his peers' chagrin most of the time, but the attention he draws is fairly positive and he's seen as inspirational for how self-assured and secure he is in himself. He's coy and coquettish, always making little comments that would make anyone rosy in the cheeks, and takes great joy in making those around him flustered or lost for words. Bishal is flexible when it comes to sociability, and can easily match the vibes of those he is around in part to his ambiverted nature- and though many outsiders would pass on any type of advice from someone like Bishal, his closer companions express just how understanding and attentive he is, and believe that Bishal has quite the knack for giving impartial and helpful advice.

Bishal loves to get himself into trouble, whether that be nearly getting whapped by those who "cannot take a joke" or finding himself the culprit in cases of mild public indecency. It's all a part of the fun to him, but he never lets it get too out of hand lest he loses his job traveling with the troupe. He toes a fine line, though, but luckily he seems to straighten himself out the moment someone mentions the health and well-being of his two Bengal cats, Chandra and Aisha. And while his personality is more daring and rambunctious off-stage, he is a beast when under the lights, putting his all into the craft he believes he was born into. His desire for attention drives him to perform at his best each time, giving the audience a perfect mixture of playful and demure to ensure their eyes are on him at all times. He's stellar at his job (a sentiment all can agree upon), and such efforts have paid off in the form of many returning patrons and a healthy amount of groupies of all genders.

Though many outside opinions of Bishal may deem him a casanova and nothing less, he is just a kid at heart, finding joy in the minute and mundane. He's all-or-nothing, putting all his passion and attention into the people and things that interest him. He enjoys receiving more than giving when it comes to personal information and is fairly private with his own personal life- though when given new information, he soaks it up like a sponge and always makes an effort to recall small details about a person he enjoys in casual conversation. He's a wanderer and hates staying in one place for too long, but does enjoy going back to old stomping grounds and catching up with old faces.

Goals & Dreams

Bishal has never been one for dreams- he tends to take life as it comes with all of its ups and downs and doesn't care to constrain himself to a single-minded goal or purpose. He does however hope to increase appreciation and respect for dance and the arts in Sumeru, which had once been banned by the Akademiya and has most recently been allowed once more.

Secrets & Fears

Bishal's biggest secret is his birth name, however, it is something he'd rather not speak of; not because it holds traumatic memories- truthfully, that isn't it at all. It is mainly for the fact that just doesn't care for the name and doesn't wish to explain himself. He does hold some fears though, mainly losing his beloved cats or his job- but he easily forgets such fears when with his dance troupe, who he considers his family.

F:  Fun Fact

Despite Bishal's natural talent for flustering the hell out of those around him, he is the dumbest when it comes to real romantic attraction. He is so used to others being attracted to him that he immediately assumes such admiration is due to his looks or his fame alone. Real love is something he has no expertise in, but he does get pleasant little tingles when around those special to him. He also adores kids, and loves when they braid his hair- honestly playing with his hair is big heart eyes for him.

Q:  How does he express interest in someone?

Bishal is pretty forward when someone interests him for any reason, and will go out of his way to approach them and greet them with a smug hello, a poke to the cheek, and an offering of sweets. He tends to intentionally pester the individual most times to get under their skin, but genuinely he is a helpful and attentive guy; so it's difficult for one to be irritated by him for long. Bishal will normally go out of his way for those he cares for, assisting with little to no questions asked or remembering the things they enjoy and bringing them up in later conversations.

Q:  His love language?

Quality time and acts of service are his biggest love languages, which isn't much of a surprise all things considered. He tends to dabble in a bit of physical touch as well but is very respectful of boundaries in that regard.

Strengths

  •  Intuition & Observation
Bishal is very aware of his surroundings, especially when on the road, and can easily tell when something or someone isn't right. He tends to always trust his gut, and it gets him and his troupe out of imminent danger more often than it doesn't.
  •  Agility
His years of being a dancer have made Bishal pretty quick and fluid on his feet. He's great at dodging and quickly avoiding projectiles, his main aim being to tire his opponent out before things get hairy.
  •  Charm
Speaks for itself- Bishal can charm his way out of most tense situations with a few perfectly timed flirts and a dash of charisma. To him, it's a better outcome if the enemy can walk away with flushed cheeks and a deflated ego rather than leave the majority injured.
  •  Memory
He has always been one for puzzles, really anything that tests his brain, and his natural skill for remembering key details and locations helps a lot when on the road. It goes hand in hand with his great observation and listening skills, and more often that not he can pick up on tidbits that most others would brush off.

Weaknesses

  •  Defense
Bishal relies on tiring out his opponents before they can do massive damage because his defense skills are fairly poor. He is more of a Healing support character rather than a DPS, and with the proper setups, he could be a great addition to a party.
  •  Physical Attack
Bishal is a catalyst, so his physical attack isn't necessarily the greatest. His strengths lie in healing other members of his team and making sure everyone gets out alive.
  •  Hot Temperatures
This man despises the heat, and can barely function if it is too hot out for him to handle. He tends to laze about when the temps are too high, which tends to slow the rest of his troupe down.
  •  Romance
Bishal is hopeless when it comes to romance, and normally ends up assuming acts of affection are platonic rather than romantic by default. He is clueless when it comes to real love and the feelings that come with it and is an absolute dork when he does finally realize an individual's true intentions. Outside of this realization, however, he has no idea where to go from there.

NORMAL ATTACK

Performs up to 3 pyro fireballs that deal PYRO DMG.

PLUNGING ATTACK

Gathers the might of Pyro and plunges toward the ground from mid-air to deal AOE PYRO DMG upon impact woth thr ground. Damages all enemies in his path.

ELEMENTAL SKILL: Flame Invocation

In comparison to Lisa's Electro skill, Bishal will charge up pyro energy into a honing pyro ball, dealing damage to enemies. After an extended casting time, said Pyro ball will unleash massive PYRO DMG with a snap of his fingers. DMG increases if stacked with other Elemental effects.

ELEMENTAL BURST: Dance of the Phoenix

Begins the Dance of the Phoenix, summoning a torrent of firey droplets to rain down, creating an Inspiration circle similar to Bennet. If the health of a character within the AoE falls lower or is lower than 50% , health will regenerate and scale based of Bishal's max HP.

1ST ASCENSION PASSIVE

Decreases cooldown of Flame Invocation by 25%.

Sketchbook

Bishal takes his sketchbook with him everywhere, the pages yellowed from age and torn from the wear and tear of being on the road. He has had this book since he was a kid, never without it in case he comes across a cool-looking flower he would like to draw.

Bag of Mora

Bishal is fairly sparing with his money unless it comes to his cats. Most of the funds he makes off dancing and entertaining ends up going toward spoiling his cats rotten, and in most cases he tends to forgo eating just to make sure his cats are taken care of. He lives comfortably and can most definitely settle down if he so desired, however he enjoys travelling to much to do so.

Cat Toy

Bishal always carries around one of his cats' feather toys, mainly because he cannot help but attempt to befriend the cats he finds during his travels. He will spend hours attempting to befriend the stray cats wherever he goes, and he considers this cat toy a lucky charm for earning their trust.

Jug of Wine

Though this jug is often empty, Bishal carries it around in case he and his troupe stop by any taverns while traveling. He doesn't care for others touching it, as he tends to mistrust others around him when they are intoxicated. After all, who knows what they could put in his wine if he leaves it unattended?

Rainbow Rose

Bishal's favorite flower, the Rainbow Rose. Bishal keeps a few on hand, merely due to the fact he adores the soft colors and sweet scent. Said to symbolize passion and romantic encounters, Bishal considers them good luck charms and makes sure to give them a little sniff before performances.

Delicious Potato Boat

Potato Boat is Bishal's favorite food, and he always carries ingredients for it on hand, or a bit of leftovers for the road. It's easy to come by in Sumeru, and he always gets a few to take with him before he heads out with the troupe. The cheesiness mixed with the mushrooms is perfect for him, and he can't ever get enough.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...

Khalil Hosseini, better known as Bishal, was born on August 18th to Laila and Harun Hosseini in Sumeru City- "The City of Wisdom". His parents were childhood sweethearts, the level-headed and disciplined Harun finding it hard to resist the firey and untamed spirit Laila possessed. Throughout school, Laila had a knack for finding herself in trouble with the Akademiya, the girl enamored with painting and drawing; few of the many art forms that had been banned in the city due to their "frivolity and uselessness in the pursuit of wisdom". He admired her courage and passion for the things she adored, and in typical fashion where opposites attract, the two found themselves practically inseparable throughout their many years of education. Comically enough, the two never pursued anything more than a platonic relationship until Harun had begun considering enrolling into the Akademiya, to which Laila had then begged him to reconsider. It only took a few inevitable confessions from both parties for Harun to drop everything for her and start a more simplistic and sweet life with his childhood love, marrying months later and purchasing a house within the city. They lived happily, spending their time cooking and goofing around in the city, being the picture-perfect couple everyone had known them to be; though many had begun to question their method of procuring income.

Many had suspected the two had some underground operation going on under the table, though most never had enough evidence to act upon it, nor the heart to, especially after hearing of Laila's pregnancy. It had been true that the couple had been making ends meet by selling Laila's art, though everything had been done discreetly and amongst the people they trusted most. Even after Khalil's birth, the two continued their secret business, needing the money more than ever now that they had a son to raise and secure a future for. They had successfully kept their dealings a secret from the public throughout the early years of Khalil's childhood, wanting to allow their son to experience life without worries. Unfortunately though, after a paint delivery went awry, the couple was caught by the Akademiya and nearly sentenced to jail time; however, the lack of relatives to care for Khalil during his parents' potential absence saved them from time behind bars- but saddled them with a large fine that changed their lives for the worse.

The fine had drained the family of all reserves, even those set aside for the young boy's future. They were thrown into complete poverty, struggling to find jobs due to the publicity of their actions and their negative repute with the Akademiya. Laila and Harun had then resorted to selling any belongings they could to scrape by, wanting to be sure their son was well-fed despite the circumstances. They did everything they could to be sure that Khalil wouldn't want for anything, however, he had become more aware of how dire their situation was when he began hearing his beloved parents bickering late into the night when they believed him to be asleep.

Life only became more tense and stressful for the family as time dragged on, the couple struggling to find a stable income to provide for the three of them. Whenever they seemed to grasp at a thin strand of hope, it was dashed at a moment's notice, leaving the family feeling helpless and without faith. So, when a familiar contact from their art-selling days reached out to them with an offer they couldn't refuse, they first met the offer with skepticism and a reasonable amount of doubt that it would come to fruition. Joining a dance troupe and making a living by traveling and entertaining the masses seemed too good to be true to Harun, but Laila immediately expressed her lack of fondness for the idea the moment it was offered, not enjoying the concept of having to always be on the move rather than settling down somewhere. The Couple had bickered about it on and off, however, the promise of a stable support system and reasonable method of income was too tempting of an offer to refuse, as the family was in no position to refuse in the first place. So despite Laila's reservations they sold the house, took the money they earned from the sale, bought a few travel necessities, and set off with the troupe out of the city and toward the border between Sumeru and Liyue.

The family spent hours upon hours each day traveling and practicing gigs for the troupe, learning the ins and outs of the entertainment business and finding their niches. Like his father, Khalil took to the craft as if it were his birthright, finding a deep passion for dance and the liberation it brought him, the other members of the troupe became impressed by his drive and natural talent. However, despite adoring the arts herself, Laila struggled immensely with the travel aspect of her new career, finding herself feeling isolated and ostracized by not only the troupe itself but also the two people she loved most. She did her best to be supportive and remain a safe space for her son and husband, but the loneliness of the open road slowly but surely began taking a toll on the relationship between her and Harun. Their bickering only increased as the years passed, to the point where the newly teenaged Khalil had to step in in most cases to keep the peace. It broke his heart to see the two people he looked up to fall apart, and he did his best to dispel the tension as it came with witty comments and a passive disposition.

Like what you see?

CONTINUED

Closer to his seventeenth birthday, Khalil had begun to brace himself for the ultimate demise of his once-happy family, seeing the threads fraying between his parents and feeling helpless about its progression. When Laila and Harun sat him down away from a post-performance celebration back at the caravan a few days after his birthday, he knew immediately what to expect, his parents struggling to break the news of their separation to him. When the words finally began to flow, he wasn't surprised in the slightest, the young man was already numbed enough to take the words and all their pain and seemingly brush it off as if it were nothing. After the heavy conversation, Khalil watched as his mother began to pack her things, reaching out to a contact made through their travels to take her to Fontaine, while his dejected father debated on moving back to Sumeru City to grovel at the feet of the Akademiya in hopes of enrolling and moving forward with his initial dreams. Though Khalil was prepared for the separation of his parents, he didn't expect the both of them to up and leave without any thought to where he would go, angering the man beyond belief.

The immediate abandonment by his parents set him off on a downward spiral, the rest of the troupe scrambling to pick up the pieces and halt him from destroying himself in his struggle to process his anger and grief. There had been a point where the troupe thought they were going to lose him, finding him miles from the caravan after days of searching for him to find him dehydrated and exhausted from insomnia. It took the deep concern and attentiveness from the other troupe members to help him finally take his life back and rediscover his passion for the things that helped him through- and after an emotional first performance since his parents up and left, he was blessed by the gods with a pyro vision to commemorate the beginning of his healing journey.

The achievement of a vision was meant with much fervor, the moment being one he, his troupe, and the fans present that night at the performance will always remember. Immediately he set out to put his vision to use, not through battle, but through dance, using it to spice up his performances and delve into other aspects of entertainment. He trained his hardest and practiced fervently to become a fire performer, learning everything from firebreathing to baton twirling, bringing added flair and excitement to the troupes' performances. His confidence soared, and it was clear to see that he truly found passion and happiness in everything he did, reveling in the attention and admiration of his fans and coworkers. It wasn't long before he threw away the last remaining chain linking him to his family, and after much deliberation, he decided to change his name to "Bishal" to finally take his life completely into his own hands. Despite his troupes' initial worry that he would regret the decision, the change only seemed to make Bishal happier, much to their relief and their happiness.

I hope you're just intrigued by my jewelery and not my chisled physique- that'd be quite awkward, hm?

PRESENT AND FUTURE

At present, Bishal remains happy and carefree, basking in the limelight of the fruits of his labor. His troupe, while proud of the young man's well-earned repute and fame, find themselves exasperated more often than not with his tendency to get himself into trouble or less-than-favorable situations; taking much displeasure in dragging him away to force a shirt on him despite his whines that he's "too hot" to wear one. Despite being a bit of a hazard, he isn't a bad guy, and his newfound family admires and appreciates him for in impartiality and support when they need it.

Recently, the troupe received letters from Zubayr Theatre, a performance group that struggled in Sumeru during the ban, that the arts are now permitted; and immediately the group rushed to their homeland to take in the sights of a newly born Sumeru. Bishal had been shocked at the news and was a bit hesitant to return to his home city, knowing he may see his father once more- but with a bit of peer pressure, he had relented and made the trek alongside the rest, finding a nice house to rent out for his time in Sumeru. Bishal argues that he decided to come back due to wanting to "give his cats a taste of domestic living", but his troupe knows that he genuinely missed being home as much as they did. At present the troupe is stationed in the city, planning on multiple performances over the next few months they will be there and hope that they can encourage more Akademiya students to visit and learn new things about something once foreign and taboo.

As for Bishal, he will continue to practice and work his way around his new group of groupies in Sumeru, finding joy in entertaining himself with their antics and experiencing the Sumeru he had wished he had when he was much younger.

C'mon, dance with me.

  • This is the trivia section.
  • Traveling near Dragonspine is one of Bishal's favorite things to do, the cold weather being his favorite part of it all. The troupe has travelled past dragonspine a myriad of times, and each time they do, Bishal gets hypothermia from going swimming in the water.
  • Bishal always returns a favor and settles his debts by any means necessary. He even took up a job teaching dance to kids wen he had to pay back a seamstress for mending a potential wardrobe malfunction.
  • Bishal adores kids, and when the troupe arrives in any of the regions, the children from each of them immediately rush to braid and decorate his hair with flowers. He always makes sure to set one performance aside to show off his braided and flower-adorned hair for a performance.
  • He has debated on getting another dragon tattoo that'll wrap around his arm, but every time he books an appointment, he ends up getting a piercing instead.
