Much of my tenacity and toughness comes from my Dad. He always told me not to ‘let anybody push you around.’ It was not okay to cry. I learned to master my weaker side early on. At the tender age of eight, a huge horse ran away with me. When an adult caught the horse, I resolutely dismounted without a tear. I could tell my father was proud.

Criminal family leader; he has many resources at his disposal, in particular, men and weapons.
Heo Minki can be surprisingly deceptive by appearance, being shorter and scrawnier than even the men he employs, often leading many to think his personal assistant Ja Deokhwa is the true heir to the Black Dragon. However, what he lacks in size and brawn, he makes up for with a fiery short temper and constant scowl which relays his intentions rather quickly to those who deal with him.
By all means, being the budding leader of a criminal family, he does keep up appearances, consistently seen in a neat suit of varying styles, but generally a black jacket and slacks with a colored inner shirt.
Physically, he is dark-haired and rather pale-skinned, with constantly narrowed eyes and furrowed brows that convey his general dislike for anything and everything around him. He is quite busy, having to run a organization full of troublemakers; as a result, he does have dark shadows under his eyes though he does make some effort to cover them up as to look presentable.
- Narrows his eyes thinly when both displeased or pleased; usually the presence or absence of a smile to accompany it indicates which it is.
- Often chews gum when stressed, as an alternative to smoking.
- Always takes off the labels and tags on things.
- Eats some fruit every morning. He's not particularly health conscious, but this is something he does every day. He seems to be particularly irritable on days where he doesn't get to have any.
Desert Eagle Mark XIX .357 Magnum: One of his go-to handguns, it is a small, but powerful handgun capable of dispatching enemies without special defense.
Taurus Raging Bull 444 Revolver .44 Magnum: His other back-up gun just in case, the Raging Bull Revolver is for larger or heavier targets given its bigger magnum size when compared to his Desert Eagle.
Baseball Bat: When not in a active combat situation or on-the-go, his melee weapon of choice is often a baseball bat. He has no real connection to it, he just thinks it's easy, convenient, and looks threatening enough.
Heo Minki is a man who gives off various vibes upon meeting, but one thing is certain for many: none of them are particularly pleasant. Often considered arrogant, temperamental, and yet unemotional, the civilian population consider Minki the spitting image of what a gangster would be like.
Not particularly fond of people in general, Minki finds little point in showing great emotion towards them and brushes off human contact. For the general population, he is seen only as the cold and inexpressive heir of a criminal empire that he is, carrying out his tasks and jobs with efficiency and with little thought to the fates or families of those who happen to fall on his bad side. His main purpose seems to just be to get the job done and move onto the next, and making certain that the laws the Black Dragon has set down are maintained.
He's not actually much better in private. Those in his inner circle would often state that he's just as inexpressive and unwilling to interact on any particularly emotional level. However, he does seem to show a more temperamental side with them, showing irritation and giving empty threats more liberally. Despite his standoffish attitude, it is clear that Minki does have at least some level of trust for those in his personal entourage, given that he does keep them around despite their misdeeds.
In professional situations, at least, Minki does put a lid on his temperamental attitude, keeping up a business-like front as to keep the favour of other organisations and families that the Black Dragon works with, for both himself and for the sake of his gang.
Heo Minki was born as the first son of Heo Seungmin, the head of the Black Dragon, cementing his position as the eventual heir that would inherit the empire. His life was written out for him at his birth, and Heo Seungmin had every intent to mold him into a heir that was worthy.
At the age of merely five, he was exposed to his first "punishment", when a subordinate of the family had tried to embezzle their profits -- Minki was forced to be present as his father tortured a confession out of the man, and killed him for his transgression. Minki was not allowed to cry.
At the age of six, Minki was expected to carry out a punishment of his own -- this time, the home servant who had been sharing careless gossip about the family. He was given the thumbscrew, and expected to finish five fingers -- but he couldn't. It was his first failure.
Later that same year, he was given a hammer and a stray cat from the streets; now it was his punishment, for his failure. It was that, or he and his sister would not be fed. That was the first life he'd taken. He cried, after. It would be the last time he would.
By seven, Minki was expected to do it again, this time given a hammer and another insurgent. This time, he was able to do it, breaking the man's hand. He did not cry, like the man did. After, Heo Seungmin praised him for the first time.
He had a little sister, aged 3 years younger than him; Heo Minju, taking on the same 'Min' from their father as their tradition was. As Minki was already to be heir, Minju was already exempt from inheriting the empire; however, she was still expected to act as a member of the Heo family, which she had openly resisted and even rebelled against from a young age.

By the age of 18, Minki gradually began inheriting bits of the empire, gaining one business at a time to manage and earning more as he proved himself to his father. Now, ten years later, he manages great stretches of property across Goyang and Bucheon, and effectively stands in as the face of the Black Dragon; however, he lacks full and total control, as he still answers to Heo Seungmin who refuses to completely relinquish the empire as long as Seungmin is able to stand as its true head.
Thus, to break free from the association with his father and earn the respect of affiliated gangs for himself, Minki has set his sights on the one place his father sought to conquer but never succeeded: Seoul itself, which is currently dominated by the Five-Dragon Alliance.
