My Lioden king :)

Long before reaching the king himself, flecks of blue begin fluttering across your view, and you hear a chorus of chirping and buzzing. Butterflies, moths, fireflies -- ah! Even crawling creatures like millipedes and spiders are appearing by your feet. You watch them as you walk; none of them touch you, but they don't appear the least bit disturbed by your presence. In time you find Grullo, resting peacefully on his side, covered in the softly beating blue wings of insects. They flutter from him as he stands to greet you, and you can hardly hold back the gasp; there is something inexplicably serene in the sight. The king introduces himself as if nothing were out of the ordinary... but you feel as though his expression is warmer now, knowing you've met his magnificent friends.

As a cub, Nikkolai encouraged Grullo's curiosity for bugs, hoping he might come to admire a misunderstood part of the world. This sparked a great affinity for insects, myriapods, and arachnids, and since then, Grullo has been studying their way of life. Respecting and learning about various "creepy crawlies" is now an integral part of his pride's life.

The king, as you'd have expected, carries himself with dignity and self-assurance... yet, you detect a trace of doubt. Grullo was still young when former king Nikkolai met his end; too late did Grullo regret ignoring his teachings. Despite this, his determination is true, and he is as prepared to protect his pride as any other. For that, you find it in yourself to grant him a bow of respect. Grullo merely nods, but you catch a flash of gratitude -- and perhaps relief -- in his face.

While strolling by, a dark young lion suddenly comes tumbling into your path. From where he lay on the ground, he flashes you a cheeky grin, just before another male comes flying at him and they go rolling off to the side. You shake your head; it seems like these youngsters are avoiding their training...
