Leopold DeLorian was born into the esteemed DeLorian family, nobles from a kingdom that's even far beyond Cathal's border. As the younger brother in the family, he faced the weight of noble expectations and the strained relationship with his father, the Patriarch of the DeLorian family. The conflicts within the family grew over time, prompting Leopold to make a pivotal decision in his youth.

Determined to escape the oppressive atmosphere of his noble upbringing and seeking independence, Leopold chose to leave his family estate and settle in Belvar. The decision to distance himself from the DeLorian nobility was not only an act of rebellion but a pursuit of a life free from the constraints of his father's expectations. However, he has been close with his elder sister, who promises her brother sanctuary as soon as she becomes their house's matriarch. Of everyone in her family, it would be his sister that truly knows of his whereabouts in Belvar.

In Belvar, Leopold found employment in the Halifax household, a family led by Novelle Halifax, a noble known for their advocacy for the common people. Leopold's skills, diligence, and background as a former noble did not go unnoticed. Over time, he rose through the ranks to become the head butler, responsible for the intricate workings of the household.

Despite his success in the Halifax house, Leopold's past shadows him, particularly the strained relationship with his father. This unresolved conflict serves as a driving force in his life, influencing his interactions and decisions. As the head butler, Leopold's strict and disciplined personality guides his management of the household, but his preference for solitude and reluctance to open up make him a somewhat enigmatic figure among the servants. He understands he is not popular among the staff, but as long as Novelle remains appreciative of his hard work, he remains the same.

It has been almost about a decade since DeLorian has left his estate but after exchanging a few letters with his sister, he is expecting it will be another two years before Leopold will be able to return home. But recently Master Novelle has hired a new group of staff, a butler included. The newest butler, Marcelle, was inexperienced due to her young age but she has proven capable within the weeks that she's been trained and precepted by DeLorian himself. Leopold has grown partial to Marcelle, who bears no ill will to him compared to the rest of the staff. But as soon as he attempts to get along with Marcelle, he soon starts to realize his attachment to her...
