Childhood: Growing up as the second generation of Kray’tok’s offspring, Krayik was raised by the group of Ebe aboard the Long Embrace. He has rarely gotten to interact with his Hebi as he was busy leading the pack, but the rare few interactions were memorable as Kray’tok treated his offspring very kindly. Krayik looked up to his Hebi and the kindness he saw among the darker corners of the horde. Was a slow child and one of the last to learn how to sign. He also had an interest in the whales that their horde bonded with.

Upbringing: Krayik was made a Squire very young, one of the youngest in his generation. Saata’ish took on all of Krayik’s siblings but had to tend to the youngest and worked harder in order to train the teen. Krayik had a hard time in training and thus endured more brutal sessions than his siblings. It was like pulling teeth to get Krayik to retain a lot of his training and ended up most often then not, on chores duty as a Squire. Once he hit the longer stretch of peace on the horde he was given more freedom. Krayik saw his Hebi less and less and started to have doubts about what the traditional values meant to him in the horde.

Turning Point: When Krayik was in his later teens, a Patoo snuck on board one of the side structures from a nomadic ship. The rare interaction between the hoard and a nomad ship left an opening for the Patoo to hide. Carrying a terrarium for their pet longba, the Patoo was shortly discovered by Krayik as they tried to sneak around. Seeing a creature other than himself, Krayik had a surge of empathy for this Patoo since he had a feeling the family would kill them for sneaking on board. Hiding them in his personal room for two weeks, Krayik tried to bring the Patoo things they could eat such as small space crabs or flora that the whales grazed on. Eventually an older Warrior discovered the Patoo while Krayik was out training. Dragging them to the Embrace, a small few of the family gathered as Krayik was summoned, the Patoo kneeling against the whale bone with their face pressed to the floor. Krayik was questioned and eventually ordered to kill the trespasser. In an act of defiance, Krayik refused and in desperation called for the counsel of Kray’tok to decide the fate of the young Patoo. Krayik expected his Hebi, the one he looked up to who had kindness in the darkest moments, to give the Patoo mercy. In a cruel act of violence, the leader of the pack ordered the Warrior to be rid of the Patoo on the spot. Blood coated the cream white whale bone as Kray’tok looked to Krayik with a sad smile. He stated that this is a good learning experience and to never betray the family with secrets ever again. Krayik was forever changed and kept that little longba hidden as the only reminder of his friend, and his doubt in the traditional values he was raised on.

Adulthood: In Krayik’s adulthood he was training more and more as he matured. He became isolated from his siblings and most of the family as he spent long hours alone in the training halls. Blood and sweat was all Krayik endured for a long stretch of time, Saata’ish cruel when he was younger but softened over time and let Krayik have more time with the whales as a reward for the harsh sessions. Once the death of his father was announced, Krayik felt a lot of his structure around the family finally shattered and he was left isolated. His doubt of the horde expanded ten-fold as he was left in the dark about not only his Hebi’s death but what the structure of the horde was actually relying on.

Current status: Krayik is trying to find out what caused his Hebi's death as well as finding out about the civilized planets in the near systems. He is debating running away from the horde to start a new life away from the traditional family structure but it is all he knows and has a hard time getting information.
