A cranky older outdoorsman, Hagen is a survivalist through and through. Practical, no nonsense and forever stocking supplies, it may seem like he's prepping for the end of the world - but he really just likes to be prepared for anything so that the rest of the time he spends can be full of beer and naps and fishing. First impressions are usually 'grumpy old strange guy in the woods' but anyone who spends more than a first impression with him learn he likes to make sure people are safe. Most of the time this is picking up lost travellers and tourists on the roads or finding them wandering the woods - while he's grouchy about it, he's really just worried these young people don't have the survival skills they should! He tries not to be consdescending about it, but if you want to stick around and learn a thing or two he's actually quite fond of having people around... so long as you like his strong home brewed beer and smoked fish.

What most Don't know about Hagen is he used to work as a mercenary (and trainer) a long time ago. He's since put the past behind him and moved on, and anyone that comes to try and strongarm him back into the job or knock him off are usually buried deep out in the woods. Hides his combat strengths from the townsfolk and chalks up his knife skills to all the fish filleting he does. Just wants to be left alone to fish, eat and nap.
