Andrew’s Notes: “Like Leif and Tide, Bolt has some sort of strange relationship with evolutionary stones - specifically, thunder stones. First off, Bolt looks like a thunder stone decided it was going to be a Growlithe, got up, and did so. Secondly, Bolt can act as though they’re legitimately a thunder stone and trigger evolution for other Pokémon. Thirdly, they’re genderless. Like a rock. Fourthly, their shadow is weird. Like, as in it doesn’t fit right sometimes, and I swear they can teleport even though I KNOW that’s not true. They seem to be able to get wherever they want whenever they want, no matter the security and locks involved. And finally, I just recently discovered they’re also in the wrong egg group: mineral. Not field like every other normal Growlithe, just mineral. Though I suppose Bolt is far from normal…anyway, take from that what you will. I have my own speculations on my trio of evo stone lookalikes - especially since scans show that something is keeping them from being able to evolve, similar to how the gigantamax factor does to Pikachu and Eevee that carry it. Only this isn’t dynamax, and it’s not like they’ve swallowed an everstone or something. It’s so fascinating!”
