Ardyn was born as the first child to a strict noble family. They raised themself for most of their early childhood, learning early on that their parents didn't have time for them. When he turned 12, he gained two baby siblings, twins. After this, he spent all of his time with his siblings, teaching them everything he knew. As the he and his siblings grew older, they became inseperable, spending all their time together exploring and playing.
On his 18th birthday, he was attacked and cursed by an unknown assailant, leaving him with irremovable swords piercing him. Seeing this, his parents cast him away, disowning him and forbidding him from seeing his little siblings again. Cursing his past family, he quietly slipped away in the night, reluctantly leaving his siblings behind. Hiding their identity, they travelled through the falls with dwindling funds.
Eventually, they stumbled upon a travelling circus and decided to join it, needing a form of income that would allow him to keep his identity a secret. The circus troupe seeing the swords piercing him, decided to make it part of his act, and from then on he was a sword juggler and sword swallower. They quickly adopted their stage persona, becoming a completely different person when performing.
Despite the circus not paying him enough to live as well as disliking the job, they stuck with it, having grown attached to the members, seeing them almost like the siblings they had left behind. In his free time, Ardyn does odd-jobs, using the extra income to try and research who cursed him, wanting both to cure themself and to get revenge.
Design Notes
Ardyn has slight tears on their right ear as well as a scar over their right eye. They have non removable swords in their arms, chest, and tail. Their hair is long and fluffy, usually worn down, occasionally worn up in a pony, bun, or braid. The dark purple throughout their body is littered with star-like speckles.

- They have a rough shell, but they're truly soft hearted.
- For Ardyn, actions speak louder than words. His actions will tell you what he really means.
- Ardyn doesn't trust easy, having been burnt too badly one too many times.
- They collect things from their travels and write letters about where they've been and what they've seen, hoping that one day they might be able to give it all to their siblings.
- Ardyn doesn't like magic, seeing it making him uneasy. Magic reminding him of when they were attacked and cursed.

Ardyn sees Dram like a sibling, they'd like to have their blood-siblings meet Dram one day. Due to Dram's memory issues, Ardyn spends more time than they probably should worrying over him. Ardyn finds themself wishing they were able to help Dram more.
Ardyn find themself worrying over Flopsy frequently, constantly nervous that they might accidentally impale themself on one of Ardyn's prop swords. He does appreciate the optimistic outlook Flopsy has on life, wanting to protect that vision.

Ardyn and Jingle get along well, Ardyn content to listen along to what their friend is rambling about. Ardyn does find that they can, however, get on their nerves after a long performance, Ardyn wanting to relax but not wanting to ask Jingle to leave or quiet down.
